^^What ever happen to this type of control for the PS3? Why'd Sony change it?

They had a dispute with the creators of the "Dual Shock" pads, so the controller above was the alternative to the Dual pads, but they worked it out and got the Dual Shock pads on the PS3, thank god. If you threw that controller across the room in anger, it would probably come back and smack you round the head. Shit looks like a boomerang.

Yeah, luckily they threw that gay ass design out in favor of something more traditional. But you kinda got it scrambled 36. The dispute wasn't over the design, that was Sony's idea. The dispute was over the motors they used to provide force feedback, which Sony lost and is the reason the PS3 controller doesn't have any. That's why it's called the SIXAXIS instead of the DualShock3.

the ps2 controller is the perfect controller theres no need to change it glad they didn't for the ps3

i think they change the rumble for the motion sensor so what you like better?

Yes, they look like the previous ones. With some slight changes.

1. there's a button in the middle of the controller with the PS logo on it, you use it to turn the system on and access the main menu when you're in game or movie etc..

2. the L2 and R2 buttons are shaped more like triggers, kinda like on the X360 controller.

3. there is a USB 2.0 slot at the top to connect it to the PS3 for recharging.

4. there are also 4 lights at the top to identify what the controller it is being numberd as in the system.

5. It's also light as fuck, almost feels fake.

No there is no rumble feature in the PS3 controllers. Sorry

Na, just turn and tilt the controller around like you're pretending to drive like you did when you were 5 :)

RTFOLMMFAO!!! I think that controller would fit the PS3 system much more better than the original one, in my opinion.
