looks like xbox 360 has better graphics then the ps3. the fight night looks fucking night and day. you would figure the ps3 version would look alot better since they had a year to develope..but sony damn near dropped the ball..idk

Alot of shit comes from sony and their library too. As with their own architecture. Companies giving developers support and stuff.

Developers are seeing the power of money these days. Cross platform money because there ain't just ne platform. I think it's nice though to see how Team Ninja is just dedicated to one platform and really focusing in that way. IMHO that kind of dedication creates the best games. BEcause then you can really get familiar with your hardware. Although a different approach is always fresh.

you can't compare the 360 to the ps3 cuz the xbox's been out for a year now. it takes about a year for a system to reach it's potential. it's been a year, and the only KILLER game for the 360 is gears of war. if you wanna compare the 360 to the ps3 then you gotta look at the 360's launch games, and the ps3's launch games.

is bc they are comparing 2nd gen games for the xbox with 1st gen games for the ps3

the ps3 games are direct ports from xbox 360 so if anything it shows how xbox 360 sucks, bc the ports show how bad the graphics are when played on another system

If I recall the specs there were differenes in bus sizes and such. Which make for big differences in architecture.

Besides, the ps showed than having a genius engine doesn't make genius games. Developers still got to get familiar. I think the Dreamcast showed some of the best graphics with game like Soul Calibur. Launch Titles...

See, the PS3 has a different type of processor which has to emulate parts of the 360 engine when games are ported. Emulation takes a lot of mathpower so they have to sacrefice graphics to get the game running at a decent framerate on the PS3.

^^ That's not nessicarily true if you have a "responsible" development team. And by responsible I mean a team that takes the time to program a game for that specific console instead of just changing the bare minimum to make it work.

I have no doubt that all of the games on the PS3 right now are merely just 360 ports. Instead of actually re-writing the code for the PS3 though, they just switched code here and there so that the PS3 could read it. I'm sure as time goes on this will change as the two systems have totally different architecture, but as it stands right now that's what we're getting. All in all, if you have the choice, just go with the 360 version for the time being, save the PS3 for the exclusives until it gets older.
