dude unless you have a record deal or are mad rich you're not gonna be able to clear any samples from anything remotely well known, let alone black sabbath and zeppelin

i'll make it simple. i'll sample anything, anywhere, any time. no limit. of course, we're only talking about the spirit.

hmm good one dude.. im just saying theres no point in discussing how hard it would be to clear samples that you're not going to try and clear... i dont see how thats fun. it would make sense if you were asking how ill a sample from a certain song might be, but even then it would be better to just try it out and see

You can sample anything, but if you are going to distribute the song to a world wide audience you are going to have to pay to get it cleared.

Or who ever you are sampling from wont ask for money but will suggest something else.

you dont need to clear samples unless youre planning to sell over 50,000 copies of the cd your beat's on or get lots of airplay, and all of you guys on here don't need to worry about that

Why sample songs when you can use sound samples and turn them into instruments?... that's what I do... most of tha time when you hear something produced by me that sounds like it's a piano, it's a guitar.. everything is usually it's opposite when I use it.. the only thing the same as it is IS the drums.. I don't b/s with actual songs.. but follow YOUR technique..

quite true. i even don't know why people started talking about it in here.

by the way, the sample for "Kick Push" wasn't even cleared, coz it's from a Filipino song. just don't sample the obvious Al Green or Stevie Wonder, and you'll be just fine.

and, yeah i forgot, just do it for fun...

eloels..ya it does end up being fun like flippin vocals samples to make them sound fucked up...which also answers last chambers ? u cant play vocals on an instrument.
