alot of countries owe us money also though.

Currency is nothing though, "money" is based on gold which is actually nothing spectacular except we've been told it's the prettiest of them all for thousands of years.

I think all countries are in debt one way or another. Can anyone name a country that is in surplus?

propaganda.

Why, under a Democrat controlled Whitehouse and Congress (Clinton Years) and booming economic times, did the National Debt always go up? Answer; Too much SPENDING!
Clinton's administration (congress/senate) was republican-controlled. in fact, the 'national spending' decreased numerous times due to his passing of various governmental waste resolutions

Clinton-bashers are some of the most moronic people in existance.

many regions have countries with an economical surplus. specifically Venezeula and Iran, both being OPEC heavyweights

america might have money but its not a utopia, eliminating the poor is something that not gonna happen for a bunch more revolutions. Dont confuse richness with power also. The debt isnt real anyways, everyone knows that no one is gonna start paying back.

true dat..

the amount of debt in the world is a WHOLE LOT more than the total amount of cash in the world....thats just the way economics are right now with credit and shit...

The debt is caused for a reason. Most money doesn't physically exist. Which is why everyone is always encouraged to use check, credit, debit, etc. But that's another topic. Anyway, without a huge debt on paper, none of that money would exist, since all it is is numbers on a screen. Balance it back to 0 and there is literally nothing, and nothing to use, manipulate, borrow against, etc.....

now the issue is how have we been tricked for thousands of years into worshipping this yellow tinted metal and allowing it to rule the numbers of the world, i point you in this direction http://www.wutang-corp.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26134

spaceman a guy in toronto on the radio speculates that the fact that the usa owes china about a trillion dollars will mean that the usa will end up having to pay it back with military technology in order to bring the country back up, but by that time china will own it all

no. first of all saying a "trillion dollars" is a paradox in relation with the global market because of the currency and exchange rate countries offer. but you're right, we do owe them a lot of funds, but without us China's external economy would fall miserably, and this is always the primary debate when arguing 'america vs china'
