anybody out there have any recommendations for some cheap but good quality production equipment/studios id love to hear them.

doesnt have to be professional shit, im just beginning so i dont wanna commit just yet.

even if somebody knows a good brand to trust, i could find out more then.. any info would help

u can do alot with just that!its about 350 or u can get a sp303 off ebay for cheap!

Yeah I got a 505 they are pretty good for starters, I'm about to upgrade though.

i have fruity loops and suprisingly it works pretty good an theres tons of shit u can do with it.

Well its a sampler so I believe it does. When i first started i just used the sounds on it until i got my own. But the problem your gonna have at first is recording and that can be done by computer.

how easy is it to learn how to use?

be warned i know shit all about production equipment and stuff so i need a good insruction booklet and shit hahaha

You'll learn how to use it within a couple of hours and the instruction booklet gives you alot of help too.

i checked out the sp404 and 303 and they didnt get reviewed as good as 505s..

anything besides roland/boss that anybody knows bout?

What kinda budget you workin on? The software out nowadays is really good and usually alot cheaper than the hardware. plus there's always the bootlegs floating out and about

ive downloaded some programs for the computer a while ago, but it never really taught me how to use the shit.. and i think id prefer using actual equipment, just seems a little more natural, and fun...

id spend 250-300 at the most.. since im just starting and not sure if ill follow thru long enough

well theres 505s, 404s and 303s on ebay for around that range.. are those the cheapest+best quality out there?

ive actually seen them recommended by a few sources so it will probably be one of those 3

i saw some vid on youtube with RZA talkin bout the mv-8000... he says like half of cuban linx part 2 was made on his... cant go wrong with that, RZA prolly knows his producing equipment and shit

its gonna be the 404 or 505 for me.. 404 is cool cuz its really portable and shit, but ive read the 505 has better features.

get a good pc and a good soundcard and use Fruity Loops 7, reason 3.0, Cubase with a lot of vst's, Battery 3 with cubase or Fruity Loops, Get fruity Loops and goo too youngfyre.com and get his soundset for $200 but make sure u get u a midi keyboard and sum pretty good monitors or sum good computer speakers. dats what I have except the computer speakers I have the KRK Rokit 5.

nahh i used to dabble on FL but never really got into it.. i like the feel of a module more, plus soon ill only have a laptop and wont be able to afford another computer.. peace anyways

Only thing that keeps ma hands away from sp404 is its sequencer.. i just hate it. ma MPC 500 cost about 500 so about 530$.
