It's been a long time since minimum wage went up. You want it to stay at the same rate forever?

raising minimum wage hurts small buisnesses.

No it doesn't they would be given tax breaks to offset that. Instead faggot ass RepubliPukes want tax cuts for the richest people in America.

Dems want to raise it so poor ppl will vote for them not understansing the larger issue and reverb.

Flawed. Percentage wise, poor people vote the least. The Dems took control of the congress because America as a whole was sick and tired of conservative dimwits fucking up. Middle class folks voted these jerks out of office after their little twelve year reign.

RepubliPukes want an estate tax cut included in the bill which beneftis multi-millionaires. That has nothing, zero, zilch to do with tax incentives for small business. They know they cannot get something as dumb as an estate tax cut for the wealthiest of Americans passed without including it in a benficial bill, like a minimum wage increase, for example.

"'Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist, R-Tenn., told senators who voted against the bill to "rethink long and hard" during the four-week recess that began late early Friday. Congress reconvenes in September.
Frist also reiterated that the GOP will not split the minimum wage apart from the estate tax, and that future votes on the pay increase will be linked to cutting taxes on multimillion-dollar estates."

"The upper chamber promptly moved to a broader bill, backed by Democratic leaders, to raise the wage to $7.25 an hour over 26 months and provide $8.3 billion in tax benefits to businesses over 10 years."

raising minimum wage will only lead to a raise in the cost of living.

when minimum wage is on the ballot the poor come out to vote. they are 1 seat down in the senate that is hardly voting them out of office.

I'm taking about what happened with the congressional voting. ConservaFucks got smoked.

The Dems weren't even expected to take the Senate as well, yet they did.

You can't just raise minimum wage just because you feel like it. The money has to be made up somewhere along the line. Not like it matters, yanks pay like 20p a litre on petrol, thats just wrong.
