I just realized there wasn't a review for this album. I won't go too in depth about it, but I finally bought this album last week and I've pretty much been listening to it constantly since then. To tell the truth, I hated Clipse when I first heard them (don't even remember why, actually) but they've really grown on me. The album gets better each time I hear it and I think that's the mark of a great album.

The album is ok, not that great. Ya'll are so quick to call albums classics. This album is far from a classic and Lord Willin is better than this album.

XXL magazine writers should be beat up for giving Clipse's album a XXL LOL. XXL is a joke.

I'm always bumpin' this album. The only song I didn't really like was Trill. Dope lyrics, but a shitty-ass beat.

It's pretty much the only Hip-Hop CD I own that my friends can enjoy listening to.

Trill and Ain't Cha are the only two songs on here that I didn't like.

I sort of agree with whoever it was on this forum that said that the Clipse are sort of the modern day equivalent to Rae and Ghost

easily one of the best albums of the past couple years. clipse just go at it hard. even with the single, mr.me too, its not like it was a total bitch single like most rappers put out. it just had pharell on it for his mainstream appeal. probably in some years it might be a classic, because honestly compaired to most other shit out around this time it shits on it hardcore.

only songs i didnt like were trill (because of the beat, it was still ok though), and wamp wamp, just because i thought that was a stupid hook, and i wasnt feeling the steel drums as much. but the rest are all dope.

I changed my mind. I didn't like this album at all. Too mainstream.

probably my favorite album of the past several years.

I'm not sure how I feel about this one. On one hand, it feels more focused and cohesive than their debut and on the other hand, I don't think I liked the dark beats as much as the club-inspired tracks of the original.

It grew on me a lot, probably as good as their first album. I replay a lot of tracks off it; Ride Around Shinin, Hello Knew World, Keys Open Doors, We Got It For Cheap and Momma I'm So Sorry. Some stuff on there I would never play again, but a 8 or 9 for me.

What songs would you NEVER play again? "Trill"?

Hell Hath No Fury is wack. Lord Willin is their best album.

Yes. Probably Dirty Money also. I thought Wamp Wamp also, but listening to it now it's pretty good.

Hell Hath No Fury is wack. Lord Willin is their best album.

Why won't you answer my questions dude?

Yeah, the chorus of Wamp Wamp is a little bit iffy, but the verses totally save it.

@Charles: What makes Lord Willin better in your opinon?

CharlesJones

Beats are better on Lord Willin. Grindin and When's The Last Time beats on Lord Willin are better than any beat on Hell Hath No Fury.

2 beats do not make an album.

KJR
05-22-2013, 06:31 AM
And even those beats are club-esque songs. There's nothing wrong with that but that's NOT what HHNF was aiming for imo.

Longbongcilvaringz
05-22-2013, 07:28 AM
I'd still say Lord Willin' is better.

i wont. less cohesive.

hhnf was straight gritty shit, sans the one or two.

Ive enjoyed everything clipse have done. HHNF is a pretty flawless hardcore album. The whole album bangs, i dont think theres any weak tracks they all have crazy beats and ill rhymes. Nightmares might be my least favorite but i guess they needed something slow and somber to end the album.

Clipse have solo albums next month. i think no malice is the better rapper, but now hes born again he might be different.

The last thing I want to hear from No Malice is a bunch of christian drivel.
