After Rage Against The Machine broke up in 2000 and 3 of its members soon forming Audioslave with Chris Cornell, Rage lead Zack de la Rocha was supposed to drop a hip hop based solo album. Seven years later and we've still got no album, but we do have a Rage reunion tour and a potential reunion for an album with Audioslave just splitting.
After it was recently announced the political rock group would reform for this year's Coachella, Guerilla Union has upped the ante and locked Rage in to co-headline this summer's Rock The Bells festivals with the Wu-Tang Clan.
ďItís definitely our fansí dream billing. Itís a tremendous honor to have Rage Against The Machine and Wu-Tang Clan perform together,Ē said event organizer Chang Weisberg. ďI canít wait to announce the rest of the line-up for Rock the Bells. Itís incredibly important to put some shine on quality Hip Hop. The opportunity to galvanize the social and political consciousness of these groups is undeniable.Ē
The festivals will once again take place in San Bernardino, CA (8/11) and San Francisco, CA (8/17), and will also make an east coast debut in New York on 7/28.
