Well it would help if you listed any good album's you have yourself already, this way we would know what not to tell you, it would save alot of thread replies.

Yeah, sorry for not listing the albums I've got, was like 2am when I made this shit and it'd take close to another 2 hours to list them all. Kinda just thought it'd show what kinda hip-hop you liked so I could judge other albums. Cheers for the suggestions.

Don't have ANY Sean Price and cats on here love him, so gonna cop that Monkey Barz. Don't have Aquemini either (Used to) so need another copy, got The Listening and loved the style, so I'll cop the Ministrel Show. Got a lot of them, but they're good albums, cheers for taking the time. I'll see if I see any of those UK MC's too...

haha, oldie, I got Heist Of The century... fucking love that album. I thought it was easier to get on vinyl.

hmmmm

Besides what you already have, do you want older classics or newer albums? Do you have a geographical preference?

Have to say I get into old albums more. but all i want is dope hip-hop, whether its from the 80's, 90's or new millenium, i dont give a fuck.. just want good music. no geographical preference either, listened to swedish hip-hop which i liked, listen to aussie skip-hop all the time.. just want good music man.

got a few albums today. Reflection Eternal - Train Of Thought (on vinyl), that outkast album, and ministrel show (on vinyl).. have to say all i listened to so far is reflection eternal cause its so dope, and i kinda got distracted cause my was at a mates and he moved next to a very.. interesting.. neighbour.

COMPANY FLOW - FUNCRUSHER PLUS
just some spaced out crazy shit

MOBB DEEP - THE INFAMOUS
damn that shit is a good album...summer album too

JUGGAKNOTS - CLEAR BLUE SKIES
basically cut from the same cloth as company flow

J DILLA - DONUTS
as a fan of the production side of hip hop i believe this album is a fuckin classic - dilla was a man who payed attention to what he was doing hes dead and a lot of people might think hes gettin crazy reviews for this album because of that - HELL NO! i got this album and listened to it non stop for a week straight and its only like 45 minutes...some people complain about the song length but i hate long songs - dope

Depends what you're after man. CD's - usually Planet in Mt Lawley, they actually have a few rare albums.. still got a copy of the pre-released Mos Def True Magic CD in the purple case haha. Plus, got mates who used to work their, they can get me a discount/shit ordered in cheaper.

Most of the stuff I get is Vinyl though.. so I go to Vinyl Pushers in the city. That failing, I head to one of the old stores like Bower Birds (Can still smoke in that store! lol) and spend a day digging for samples.

DADA is alright too.. 78 Records has some good stuff. I go all over the place really, never to Sanity/Trax and shit though.

Longbongcilvaringz
03-14-2007, 08:36 AM
really, ive never even checked planet out for cd's,

DADA is pretty good, but nothing really surprising there, and its expensive, JB something good on the odd occasion as does 78's.

i'll have to check out planet when im next in mt lawly, when i go to Highs & Lows nexts lol.

thanks.
