What is your Greatest of all time under 5 mics album (i.e. not a widely known classic). 1 Album, don't give a list.
Based on:
How many spins it gets.
How my good verses it has.
How much you plain out favor it.

Since this is a Wu-Tang forum, I suspect many Wu-tang albums (liquid Swords) as favorites so this is outside wu-tang.

Ras Kass' Soul on Ice is my GOAT under 5 mic album.

This perhaps is my favorite all time album. Its intelligent, hard-hitting, and just fucks the speakers up when you bump it.

you mean a personal classic that isnt a hip hop classic.

or something that you think isnt 5 mics, but you still listen to alot?

Binary Star - Masters of The Universe is personal classic, 5 mics, i i dont think many people would say it was classic.

I listen to The Root's "The Tipping Point" alot, but i dont think its 5 mics...

Does anyone know how much mics Rip the Jacker got? If its less than 5 dan without a doubt mine is Canibus - Rip the Jacker

whaahaha it prolly got less than 3.5
never heard this album, but judging by the way people hate on it and the source's usual ratings with these kind of albums,i'll say it didnt even get 3.5...

Durag
03-27-2007, 06:08 AM
Rip the Jacker was praised by most critics da beats are bangin courtesy of Stoupe from Jedi Mind Tricks he produced every track on this. Wether u like Canibus or not check out this album. I couldnt really give a fuck wat ratings the source give on albums anyways

Mista JpKoff
03-27-2007, 06:16 AM
Rip The Jacker would have been classic if only Bis had laid the vocals on the beats, in place of just dropping a capellas to Stoupe. Sometimes the flow just doesn't suit the beat perfectly. I still like it alot though

My answer to the topic :

How many mics did it get ? Has it even been reviewed by The Sauce or XXL ? i've stopped reading those magazines quite a long time ago ^^

how did this thread become about what the source think?

i assume the thread starter meant 5 mics as an arbitary ratng which has nothing to do with the source.

he means what is your personal classic album which isnt considered widely to be a classic.

correct me if im wrong general.

how did this thread become about what the source think?

that was only a question...
But you're right, he said "widely known classic"... which isn't so meaningful : widely known by who? Journalists? Web heads (so-called) purists? The mass customers?

Longbongcilvaringz
03-27-2007, 12:25 PM
i dunno, everyone knows the classics though, wu early albums, illmatic, the infamous, ready to die, reasonable doubt, etc. id say hes talking about what people on this site think to be universal classics.

another personal classic for me would be:

Viktor Vaughn - Vaudeville Villain

really did blow my mind when i heard it, the beats and rhymes are off the wall.
