Should be great, he's focusing on manily NY cats, should be a good thing for NY & if Pete Rock's production is up to par, I'm sure most rappers will deliver.

Pete Rock Announces New Album "NY's Finest" This Summer On Nature Sounds
PETE ROCK will return with his latest full-length opus, NY's Finest, scheduled for release on Nature Sounds this summer.

Following in the tradition of his Soul Survivor series, the new LP will spotlight Pete's beats, with guest emcees rhyming over them (with Pete himself appearing on five tracks).

Focusing mostly on NYC based artists, the LP will include appearances from Papoose, Jim Jones, The Lox, Raekwon, Ghostface, Masta Killah, Cappadona, plus additional support from MF Doom, Slum Village, Redman, and others.

"914" featuring Styles P. and Sheek Louch is the first song leaked from the LP.

Yea is this album still planning to drop in the next few weeks or month or so?

I'll buy it, but personally nothing will ever match the chemistry PR had with CL. I mean he has good tracks with other artists but CL just blessed his beats man.

Have you guys ever heard the interview with CL before his album dropped last summer? It's still up on some website but Im not sure which one....Its like 2 hours long but he really goes into the nitty gritty about the situation between him and Pete. After I heard what he said, it makes you think of Pete in a completely different fashion.

But yea...I guess this is gonna be the first PR album minus CL....
