Too bad ya'll have nothing to show for it.
And it will continue to stay that way for YEARS to come.
Mark my words.
Snyder thinks you can BUY a team. You can buy players but you can't buy a TEAM. everyone has to bond as a unit, play as a team. BIg money FA's are no guarentee of that (and never have been) Remember Bruce Smith and Deion Sanders being on the same squad? It didn't amount to shit for the Redskins.

I like the Texans signing Smith from the Cardinals. It frees up what we can do with the draft. Our defense is going to take a serious jump in 09.

Art Vandelay

yeah, remember the year when the redskins signed bruce smith, deion sanders, mark carrier and jeff george and everyone talked about them going to the super bowl. they were poop sandwich that year.

the steelers just won the super bowl with only one big-name free agent signing - james farrior. and they signed him 7 years ago. free agency is overrated. you have to build your team from the draft then plug in the holes with decent free agents. going overboard with $100M signings only gets you into salary cap trouble down the road.

dan snyder grew up a redskins fan, not many owners can say that they rooted for the team they own as a kid.

the front office has made a shitload of poor decisions, mostly regarding free agency raids, trading draft picks and ignoring building through the draft, but you all aren't fans of washington, so you don't understand that unless skins fans jump ship, they have to accept what goes down and be excited and optimistic about shit like this, because it's the only thing to do.

any fan who stops being a fan of his team because of poor front office moves, or even poor play on the field is a gaylord and can't pretend to be a fan if/when things ever start going right for their team again.

i know that's captain obvious talk to real fans, but there are fair weather faggots galore, especially in washington, md, va. the team doesn't play up to expectations and suddenly, motherfuckers are ravens fans, or panther fans, or steeler fans, etc.

fuck em, i like snyder in a way, he wants to win. i don't like the way he thinks he's going to do it, but oh well, nothing i can do, but root for the team.

you're right, i don't know what it's like to have an owner who was a fan of the team while growing up. because the steelers have been owned by the same family since they started in 1933

well they were all past their prime unlike haynesworth, hall, and dockery and if you remember last year we really didn't get any free agent's and the reason you don't spend money on free agent's is because that money is reserved for the ref's

lol

If I was in Minnesota,” George said, “I guarantee I’d be wearing a ring right now. I just can’t get over why somebody like [coach] Brad Childress wouldn’t take a look at me and have me as the third guy on their roster. Put me in and I’ll pick up right where I left off in ’99, but this time with Adrian Peterson, so I wouldn’t have to throw it nearly as much.”

As for his incredibly gifted right arm, George insisted it’s nearly as potent as it ever was. “I can probably chuck it 78 yards,” he said, “compared to when I was coming out [of college] and could throw it 85.”

What Do You Think About Braylon Edwards Think They'll Trade Him? Do You Think It Would Be Worth It For The Giants If It Were To Go Down? I Heard They Were Asking For More Then 2nd And 5th Plus Either Hixon Or Manningham. Thats To Much I Dont Even Know If I Would Do It For That Offer.

Olive Oil Goombah

Well, I don't think we should get rid of Braylon. Yea, he drops some passes, but he is a playmaker. If we got a 2nd and a 5th AND Hixon or Manningham, than yea, I'd make that deal, especially if we can get Crabtree.

Actually, that would be good for the Giants...who cares about Hixon or Manningham. Your losing draft picks, but it would significantly improve their offense.

according to what charlie casserly said on the NFL Network, apparently he thinks one of the main deciding factors on why cutler ended up in chicago over washington, was the fact that denver valued kyle orton higher than jason campbell.

which goes to so just how sorry lionel richie is. they would rather have KYLE ORTON LMAO.

skins gotta get rid of this fuckin gump campbell.

LOL...give it up with Jason Campbell. As long as he is your QB, you guys are not going anywhere. Farthest you will get is a wild card birth and maybe one victory, and you will probably lose because Campbell isn't good enough.

Campbell has Cooley, Moss, Randle El, Lloyd....dude has a running game behind him. He has everyone around him on offense to make him successful.

But he's just not good.

How is that? Anderson was a Pro Bowler a year ago.

Quinn is coveted by teams who need a QB. They want him more than Anderson.

i hated him with new york and dallas, but i wish bill parcells to be running the skins front office.

alright, so 'supposedly' before it fell thru, there was a 3 way trade involving denver, cleveland and washington.

denver would have gotten brady quinn, washington would have gotten cutler and cleveland would have gotten lionel richie.

I WOULD HAVE LOLLLL'D LOUD at cleveland. but instead i am still laughing at the skins.

campbell could come in next year and light it up and i still wouldn't like him. dude's a decent person, real nice guy, somewhat talented, but no fire whatsoever. GET TFO

Bouldin was a cry baby late last season with the Cardinals. That was messed up when his team won the championship game and was heading to their first ever super bowl, and he was there complaining on the sidelines with his coaches. He should try to handle being the second best receiver on the Cardinals, and try to get to the Super Bowl again, but he won't do that cause he's too much of a complainer.

Wasn't Pennington one of the main reasons the Dolphins had a good season?

yeah, definitely. but i don't think that that means he's going to get better. he'll stay about the same i'd say, plus he ain't getting any younger. i'd say it's only a matter of time before he gets hurt like he did with the jets. plus jake long protecting him was a big help. ronnie brown. the wildcat formation. no jason taylor. bill parcells show. alot of factors.

but yeah, pennington played some of the best ball in his career.

The Redskins have informed Byron Leftwich that he would not be competing with Jason Campbell for the starting job if he signs on with Washington.
Leftwich would play only if Campbell suffered an injury or was pulled due to poor performance. While Leftwich is a D.C. area native, he has let teams know that he would prefer to stay in Pittsburgh if he's not going to be afforded the opportunity to compete for a starting job. Apr. 5 - 11:32 am et

Dude, the NFC North is garbage. Of course they almost made it. The Bears haven't won more than 9 games in two seasons. Urlacher is getting older...like buddy above said, they have no WRs. Hester couldn't catch a cold if he stood naked in Antartica. With all the draft picks they gave up, I look for them to lose some depth in the next few years. The Vikes are for real, even though they're not dominant, they're contenders for the Playoffs and they'll battle with DUH BEARZ. And I guess you think the Packers are going to be shit this year. Not like Rodgers is going to improve at all this season, right?

I dunno about favorites to win the Div.

And assuming two weeks ago you had nothing whatsoever to say about DUH BEARZ, you've made your choice automatically based on Cutler's arrival so yeah I'd say you think he makes them ten times, five times, or even two times better than they were. Which is true, but, only because Grossman and Orton are garbage and compared to them, Sage Rosenfels could've went to DUH BEARZ and made them atleast 10 times better at the QB Spot.

Roster-Depleted Bears Sign Tire Swing For Cutler To Throw To

http://www.theonion.com/content/files/images/Cutler.article_large.jpg
April 11, 2009 | | Onion Sports (http://www.theonion.com/content/news_briefs/sports)

CHICAGO—Anticipating that new Bears quarterback Jay Cutler will need more targets than converted cornerback Devin Hester and undersized journeyman Rashied Davis—the only receivers on their squad who have ever caught an NFL pass—the Chicago Bears signed a tire swing to their roster Tuesday. "We are expecting great things from this tire swing once the tire and Cutler get some practice time and develop some chemistry," receivers coach Darryl Drake said of the six-year-old Goodyear all-season radial suspended from a tree branch by a 7-foot length of rope. "This could easily be the best quarterback-receiver duo in recent Bears history." Analysts say that, while the move is somewhat unorthodox, Chicago was prudent in passing on veteran free agents Amani Toomer and Joe Jurevicius in favor of offering the tire swing a 3-year, $2.4 million contract. http://www.theonion.com/content/themes/onion/assets/terminator.gif

Is it me or do the Giants have one of the toughest schedules again? Having to play in Denver won't be easy, KC has gotten better though we kinda own them traditionally, San Diego will be tough and even Oakland I see making a little improvement (where else can they go they have to only keep getting better). And for the second, maybe third, year in a row we have three Division games in a row at the end of the year. I don't think I noticed any other NFC East teams having to do this last year or this. I heard the Steelers had an "Easy" schedule but I don't believe in "Easy NFL" schedules, they're all tough.

And Portis24, do you remember the second meeting? We beat ya'll without Plax so fall back. And it was when Sean Taylor was inducted in the Ring of Lame. Damn.

Can't lie though Redskins/Giants to open the season again will be epic maybe it'll be more exciting than last year's.

Giants also are opening up the brand new Dallas Cowgirls Stadium so it'll be cool to get the first W there.

Also, the Jets close out GIANTS Stadium's final game ever...wow. Giants stay getting no respect even by the fucking morons who schedule games I mean c'mon GIANTS STADIUM..let the big doggs / orphanage owners close that thing out.

Also the Giants have three road games in a row early on which is unusual but not totally unheard of..

Can't wait.

Seems like Braylon Edwards is going to be in Big Blue soon enough. I don't want to get rid of Smith or Hixon for him though. I know it'll take a nice little care package but come on those guys are young and talented.

the rumor is a 2nd and a 5th and either Hixon or Smith for Braylon.

I dont like that trade. I want the Giants 1st rounder, which is almost basically a 2nd rounder.
I would not give up Braylon for that. He had a bad year with drops, but he is still a pro bowl caliber reciever with many good years left.

I don't like that because I really do not think Anderson is going to be great. I think he will just be a little above average.

hahahaha true. I knew there was no way in hell the Seahawks were going to pick a QB this year. Our GM is not spending that kind of pick on one. I like the Curry pick and resigning of Hill though. THe one that got me was the raiders passing on Crabtree! Good pick up for SF though.

Both okay picks....both have alot of questions.

I think durability is the issue with Harvin. The locker room stuff is overplayed from what I can see and I do follow UF. As far as position...He isn't a running back. He did it well in Florida's offense, but his running style wouldn't be great in the NFL. That leaves him somewhere at WR. He is a Reggie Bush type slash guy with more emphasis on WR than RB. I'm not sure how well that will translate or not, but I'm not convinced he will be health long enough to really live up to the potential. Dude was ALWAYS hurt and playing hurt. He is a playmaker in space though.

Steve Young was better than Favre. Tom Brady is better than Favre. If it wasn't for Favres ironman streak he wouldn't even be mentioned.

I can't stand Brett Favre.....I hate the fake 'oh im gonna be happy cuttin mah grass' schtick he puts every year.

RETIRE already, you have wasted enough sportcenter highlight time. You are going to go to the Vikings and blow it for them in the playoffs because your careless with the football and make stupid impossible throws.
