Considering the Bears have one of the best defenses in the NFL, if not the best, and they are giving up the least amount of points in the NFL, what would be wrong with my statement?

Are you KIDDING???? Dog, your location is West New York, and you're not a Giants or Jets fan, so I assume that you're either from Minnesota, or just a really big crackhead...I'll give the Vikings their due, they almost pulled it out at the end of the season, but people said that 2005 was gonna be their year, and guess what? It wasn't...not only that, but they have a handful of expiring contracts, whereas the Bears only have one or two...so, therefore, Bears are gonna knock people on their asses like they was Brett Favre. The cardinals will go further than the dolphins this year.

Let's compare Superstar's:

Dolphin's - Chris Chambers n Ronnie Brown are upcoming, Jason Taylor n Zach Thomas are pro-bowlers, Daunte's pretty good

Cardinals - The Edge, Boldin, Fitzgerald, Adrian Wilson

if the cardinals get a good draft i think they can go like 7-9 or 8-8

RynMur
03-28-2006, 06:16 PM
All those players are overrated except for Zach Thomas and Jason Taylor. Chris Chambers is a number two receiver on any good team. Ronnie Brown? What has he done?

sakk
03-28-2006, 06:23 PM
Chris chambers is gonna be a great WR under Saban. Boldin and Fitzgerald both had 1000+ yd seasons last year. I think both teams will be good next year, both will at least go 8-8. The thing about the Dolphins is Saban, he is gonna get the most out of those players.

plus remember that highlight of Boldin bouncing off like 3 guys? check out Adrian Wilson's numbers

deal, if you agree to do the same for the Texans. I'd like to see Vince get drafted but it's gonna be Bush, and he'll make an instant impact. New coach, Eric Moulds to take the heat off of Andre Johnson, Bush lined up in the slot, with Davis in the backfield. This year will be a lot less painful. We'll beat the Colts atleast once. Ya heard it here first. btw.... I think the Dolphins we'll givin you more rep points than you're handing out. If Culpepper comes out healthy they might just be the AFC champs.

word son... but the texans need to work on the line too. bush aint shit if he has the entire defense break thru and get his ass the line has to help a bit lol dude got sacked like 60 times last season. and ye dolphins are gonna be ill we got ronnie or ricky both of them are ill even tho it took ronnie a bit to get used to the nfl hes dope now. we picked up probowler fullback beasley and that fucker can block so we can run the shit out of teams and have culpepper in the back if he plays like he did in 04 well be unstopable. oh and saban said "were still lookin for another qb" so dont be surprised if we get another ill qb to back up my man culpeps. vince young was really affected by the test scores and a lot of teams dont need qbs right now and the ones that do their projected to pick cutler and leinhart before him so dont be suprised if culpepper and young are on the same team next year... the fins

no way Vince end's up with the Phins homie. He won't be there past the Raiders at the very lowest but someone should be shot if they think Cutler is a better QB than Young. That's my boy no matter where he goes, and there ain't no test scores for clutch. He'll get his ring before it's all said and done. But for the line, no better guy to fix your offensive line than the same person that's been doin it for the Broncos for like almost ten years. We'll get that fixed in the draft. The Texans may not make it to the playoffs this year just cause the AFC is gonna be stacked once again but 8-8 isn't outta the question. We're definetly on the come up.

And to answer you're question, everyone from Florida State's Defense is overrated. They're Defense was not as good as the draft would lead you to think. They gave up 34 points to a horrible Florida offense.

New England deals WR Johnson for DL Sullivan

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- The New England Patriots (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/nwe/) traded wide receiver Bethel Johnson (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6381/) to the New Orleans Saints (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/nor/) for defensive lineman Johnathan Sullivan (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6342/) on Monday as both teams gave up on high draft picks who fell short of expectations.
The deal was contingent upon approval by the NFL, Patriots executive director of media relations Stacey James said.
in the three seasons since both players were drafted in 2003, Johnson, the 45th player picked, had just 30 catches while Sullivan, the sixth player chosen, had 77 tackles.
Johnson is a speedster from Texas A&M who did well as a kickoff returner but never developed into a productive receiver. Last season, he caught only four passes in 11 games and the Patriots traded him, even after losing free agent wide receivers David Givens (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6115/), Tim Dwight (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/4343/) and Andre Davis.
The Patriots did add two key wide receivers -- Reche Caldwell (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/5934/) as a free agent from San Diego and wide receiver Chad Jackson (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/7785/) as their second-round draft choice from Florida.
Johnson began last season with a 26.2-yard average kickoff return, best in the NFL, but averaged just 22.4 yards per return in 2005, the only season he failed to score a touchdown on a kickoff return. He had scored one in each of his first two seasons and also totaled four touchdown receptions in his three years.
He joins a deep wide receiver corps in New Orleans with Donte Stallworth, Joe Horn (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/3646/) and Az-Zahir Hakim. The quarterback is Drew Brees (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/5479/), signed as a free agent from San Diego.
Sullivan had 1.5 sacks in 36 games with the Saints after leaving Georgia following his junior year. Last season, he had 29 tackles and no sacks. He joins a young defensive line that includes three other first-round picks -- Richard Seymour (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/5453/), with whom he played at Georgia; Ty Warren (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6349/), and Vince Wilfork (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/6780/).

Im glad Saints dealt Sullivan a bust, hopefully we can get some work out of Johnson recieving this year.

I Dont Wanna Talk To Soon But There Sayin The Giants Are Lookin Real Crisp In Practice So Far Granted It's Only Like The Second Or Thrid Practice Into Training Camp They Say Eli Looks Like A New Qb Out There. The Offense Is Gonna Be Really Good. The Only Real Question Is The Secondary With Madison And Demps Coming In And Webster As A Stater Got To See How That Works Out And DT With A Bunch Of Young Guys Vying For The Spot. But I Think The Giants Play At A Very High Level And Could Beat Any Team This Year.

honestly, if the texans can stay healthy (andre johnson) and gel under Kub, then they could win up to 6-7 games, and im serious. but i agree chances are 3-4 would be realistic, but they do have some skill and who knows what they can do with a new coach.

as for the giants....:\...ive been a hardcore fan since their playoff run in 00', when i first really started watching the nfl.. they have the best team since being in the superbowl, but washington and dallas have the best teams they've had in jsut as long, or longer. that division will be the hardest to come out of, and whoever wins it will cause ruckus in the playoffs, because they'll already know how to win important games. im pessimistic because i stillllll havent caught the Eli train, he only showed a taste of what he can do last year, if he grows and gets better, watch out league, giants are comin to fuck you up

oh and btw, arrington and madison = huuuge pickups to compliment strahan and umenyiora

I'm hopin so. They got to get the line together first. If David Carr can get some protection I think Johnson and Moulds could end up working out nicely. They got the former headcoach of Greenbay as the O-line coach alone. To me thats a good sign. If they get the zone blocking scheme going I think it could be a breakout year for their backup back Morency. He seems to have the kind of cut-and go speed that would pay off in the same kind of schemes Denver uses. Only time will tale. I feel okay on offense, its the D that's got me worried. That's where the real rebuilding is gonna take place. Williams and Robinson is a good start. We'll see about everyone else.

book-mark that shit knowledge...updated every day and its 100% G-Men

one thing this offseason that pissed me off was the signing of multiple D linemen, especially ends, one which we used a third round pick on...it makes no sense...if anything use a 2nd or third round pick on a DT to stabilize that ultra un-balanced line.

yeah for sure i agree if they can get their O-line comfortable in whatever scheme they're going with then Carr can finally show what he can do, and maybe have a chance to actually learn something and grow as a QB. but getting sacked 20 times a game doesnt allow that haha.. but the thing is that if any team improves their O-line connectivity they will be better, no doubt. the O-line is the backbone of not only any offense, but any successful team.

oh and next topic for discussion: will Alexander have another year contending for the rushing title?

Feels good to be back in the NFL thread with pre-season afoot. I didnt get to check out much of any of the games but I did catch the first half of the Cowboys game against Seattle. Romo was doing pretty damn good. I think when I stopped watching he had completed 11 straight passes or something like that. Crayton had an amazing catch too! I wish I had time to watch the whole game and some of the others. Regardless I am looking forward to watching things play out. Best of luck to all the teams....GO COWBOYS!!!!!!:cheerlie:GO COWBOYS!!!

wow that AFC North Division title must mean alot to you, considering the STEELERS STILL WHOOPED THEM ANYWAY WHEN IT COUNTED. Bengals don't have a chance.

BTW, Preseason games mean nothing

I'd put money on Vince Young eventually winning the superbowl. I still can't believe the Texans passed on both him and Bush. Still gotta say we'll win at least 6 this year. Carr is actually goin to have time to pass the ball.

Hahaha What The Fuck Were The Texans Thinking Not Taking Bush The Rookie DE On The Giants From Boston College Mathias Kiwanuka > Mario Williams. Naaa It's To Early To Say That Plus He Wont Get As Much Time Because Of Osi And Strahan But He's Been Impressive 2 Games 2 1/2 Sacks 1 Forced Fumble Granted It Wasnt Against Staters Though.

Treazon

when will you people realize that taking mario williams over bush wasnt even a bad pick. you see, in the texans division, there is this team, the colts, led by one, peyton manning.

THE ONLY WAY TO BEAT THE COLTS IS TO RUSH PEYTON OUT OF THE POCKET AND OUT OF HIS COMFORT ZONE TO THROW OFF THE TIMING OF THE PLAY, WHICH HE HAS MASTERED

you cant get to the playoffs without a good division record, AND YOU CANT BEAT THE COLTS WITH REGGIE FUCKING BUSH.

maybe some of you dont understand the concept that in football, the proper way to build a team is to build by need, however the GM/head coach feels the needs are. i agree with the texans that before they can move anywhere at all in that division (jacksonville also another road-block) they need to find a way to beat the colts...i dont think their franchise has yet hahaha..

and kiwanuka is not anywhere near a better pick than mario, who is bigger, more agile and a more well-rounded player. kiwanuka is great for pass rush which yes would help the texans, but hell houston can use all the help in any aspect they can get

enough ranting

GO GIANTS.

The Next Julius Peppers Or The Next Marshall Faulk. Rb And De Are Needs Of That Team You Cant Pass Up On Bush Inless You Absolutley Are Stacked And Rb. Thats The Guy You Want To Build You Team Around Not Some De Who Will Be Real Good But Is He Gonna Be Key Reason To Raise Your Team To A Super Bowl Level I Doubt It. The Kiwaunki Statement Wasnt That Serious Although I Wouldnt Be Suprised If He Ends Up Being Better The Nfls Werid Like That Check Some Of The Best Players In The League And When They Were Drafted.

I don't wanna speculate but the G Men looking reaaaaaaaaal good last night against KC. I liked what I seen from Kiwanuki, he's got some speed and there was also another DL I seen at the end of the game who was chasing KC's speedy backup down and tripping him up in one instance. What's up to that boy Chase Blackburn. He put in hard work last year when our DB's took a maaajor hit and I actually liked dude, hopefully we'll see him in some four back sets this year. Me I want to see a 3-4 from the G Men with Osi, Strahan and the rookie Naki. Then bring the inside LB's behind them. Giants are bringing the house in case no one noticed it last night. And the G Men are not traditionally blitz-heavy. I love our new look D. McQuarters with the long hair, boy was laying down the HAMMER on guys. As for the our offense? I don't gotta say SHIT about all those boys. Eli did his thing, Jacobs still BOWLING over bitches, even Shockey in the 4th quarter was running after balls thrown away in to the sideline. Speaking of Shockey, was he on X last night? Usually you don't get that intensity from him in a playful way like you seen him all yesterday. I like the chemistry and I'm ready for Sunday Night on NBC versus the Colts. Don't be surprised if we smack them down.

lol osi+strahan > kiwanuki+tuck.... kiwanuki will get on an OK amount tho, strahan is getting old lol.

i think the key to the giants thriving this year is if tiki can be as threatening, which is asking alot, but if he does, and the D stays hungry and healthy..a superbowl appearance is not a stretch at all because to even get to the playoffs in that division says alot. washington and dallas in my opinion improved immensely and make me nervous about all the big division games, but i cant fuckin wait

i have a question for everybody here tho..

do you think shaun alexander will have another amazing scoring/yardage year?

ill answer it for you: Hellllllllllllllllllllllll nooo :b .. HUTCHISON FTW.

Culpepper didn't look so hot for the Phins' and not just in the 4th quarter either. Seemed to be throwin too many of those wide receiver screens. Must've had atleast 10 completions on that shit. Teams start lookin for it soon enough & start baited him into interceptions. Palamalu almost had one of 'em by the end of the game (before the one he did get) For yall sake I hope they gettin downfield better by the next time they play. Steelers D took over in the 4th. Colts got very lucky I dont say this cuz I like G Men.. they got lucky we had three picks.. in hands.. no catch... Colts played well.. I mean.. Peyton played well.. GMen should not be ashamed. We should take it to Philly next week and with Dallas vs. Wash, the NFC East next week may be 1-1 all. Gmen fans don't fret tonight Eli was great, Tiki and Jacobs was, D just got picked apart by the greatest QB in the game.. long season.. Giants will show heart... where was Arrington tonight? Holla. GMen still in '06. Losing tonight was like a Super Bowl... great game.. was very hype all night... loved it... NFL is back... stupid fucking penalties.. we killed ourselves.. Giants baby... 0-1.. soon to be 2-1... peace.

Yeah Tough Game They Had It In There Hands And They Let It Slip. Special Teams Were Weak Missing A Field Goal And Letting The Colts Get To The Thirty Or Fourty Every Time On Returns. The Missed Ints Hurt, The Penalties And The One The Refs Totally Fucked Up Tim Carter Pass Interfernce Bullshit. But I Can Rest Easy Because In The End Really The Giants Beat Them Selfs I'm Cofident If They Play 100% To There Ability They Can Beat Any Team.
