LOL@Dallas signing Tony Romo for 6 years and a lot of money hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. 55 million of his is guaranteed LOL. Donovan Mcnabb tweeted he can't believe Tony got a lot of money when he's only won one playoff game hahahahahahahahahaha. I agree with Donovan. Dallas should've let him go because they'll never win a championship with him. I was surprised Baltimore let Anquan Boldin go to the 49ers. They should've kept him and Ed Reed should've stayed with Baltimore because his career is done. He isn't gonna win a championship with Houston. I think Baltimore shouldn't have signed Joe Flacco for a lot of money. His contract is probably the reason why a lot of Baltimore's players have left. Athletes nowadays don't have any loyalty to teams anymore. Back in the day, football and basketball players stayed with 1 or 2 teams. Nowadays athletes will sign with any team that's gonna pay them the most money which is stupid.

How much damn money do you need to buy clothes, cars, house, food, shoes, jewelry, furniture? Most of these retarded black athletes end up broke when their careers are over because they spend their money foolishly and don't save their money. Then they also spend a lot of money on their stuck up, materialistic girlfriends or wives to keep them happy so they won't leave them LOL. Then they wanna get upset and curse out their women if they get divorced or break up with them and if they have kids by these women, they're fucked because they gotta pay a lot of money for child support LOL.

CJ, have you seen that ESPN documentary called "Broke?" If you wanna see how dumbass athletes lose all their money it's a pretty interesting watch. They had guys like Andre Rison and Vinny Testeverde on it. Seems like most of these dudes just have a hard time saying no to friends and families, but then you got the real dumbasses who were throwing away money on making it rain at the club and buying a bunch of shit they don't need lol. And it's amazing how much a little bit of pussy will make some of these fools blow their whole life savings. I saw Antoine Walker the other day on tv talking about financial issues. That's one of the worst cases of blowing money I've ever seen.

CharlesJones
03-31-2013, 04:59 AM
LOL@your picture of Tracy McGrady looking mad hahahahahahahahaha. Is he playing basketball overseas? Thanks for telling me about the documentary called Broke. I'm gonna look on Youtube to see if they have that. Yeah it's a trip how women can make men lose their mind over some pussy LOL. These guys will spend so much money on women buying them material things to keep them happy so the women won't leave them because they're afraid of being alone and not getting sex LOL. Michael Jordan is a good example of his ex-wife Juanita getting a lot of money from him in their divorce settlement and i'm sure she's getting child support. Allen Iverson is in the same situation. His dumb ass lost two houses because he couldn't make the payments. When are guys gonna learn that you can't trust women when it comes to money?

CharlesJones
03-31-2013, 06:02 AM
I couldn't find Broke on Youtube but i did watch footage of former NBA player Antoine Walker on a sports show talking to Stephen A Smith and a white guy about he lost $110 million when his career was over because of bad real estate investments and he took care of 10-15 friends. He said he didn't lose his money to gambling like people think. If i was him, i wouldn't have taken care of his friends. Fuck them people LOL. If they wanna get mad at him for him not giving them money, so what. He doesn't need them. Family members and friends are the worst people to be around when you got a lot of money because they'll try to take it from you. Women are also bad to be around when you got a lot of money because they'll try to take it from you also. I do believe there's some good women who will be with rich guys not because of their money but they're hard to find. Most rich guys wanna be with cute women and most cute women are materialistic and can't be trusted when it comes to money.

Aaron Hernandez
DROPPED BY PATRIOTS
'It's the Right Thing To Do'

http://ll-media.tmz.com/2013/06/26/0620-aaron-hernandez-article-getty-4.jpg
The New England Patriots have DROPPED tight end Aaron Hernandez in the wake of the NFL star's arrest early Wednesday morning ... and the team says the move was the "right thing to do."

23-year-old Hernandez was a rising star with the Patriots and signed a 5-year contract worth $40 MILLION just last summer.

The Patriots just released a statement saying, "A young man was murdered last week and we extend our sympathies to the family and friends who mourn his loss. Words cannot express the disappointment we feel knowing that one of our players was arrested as a result of this investigation."

"We realize that law enforcement investigations into this matter are ongoing. We support their efforts and respect the process. At this time, we believe this transaction is simply the right thing to do.”

Officials have not announced what Hernandez has been charged with so far ... but the charges will be revealed when Hernandez appears in court for his arraignment later today.

The Patriots are scrubbing any trace of Hernandez from the organization -- removing all A.H. merchandise from the team store ... and erasing him from the official roster on the team website.

Report: Hernandez now focus of an additional murder investigation from 2012

Safiro Furtado and Daniel Abreu were sitting in a car at a traffic light in downtown Boston on July 16, 2012 when they were murdered shortly after leaving a nearby bar. To date, the double-homicide has gone unsolved, but investigators are now looking into a new potential suspect: Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez.

According to a report from FOX 25 in Boston who talked to an unnamed source, investigators are currently looking at Hernandez in connection to the killing of Furtado and Abreu.

The news comes approximately 24 hours after Hernandez was arrested and charged with first-degree murder and five weapons charges in connection with the death of semi-professional football player Odin Lloyd.

According to the FOX 25 report, Furtado and Abreu were riding in the front seat of a vehicle at the intersection of Shawmut Avenue and Herald Street when the occupants of a nearby SUV with Rhode Island tags opened fire. Furtado and Abreu were both killed, while a third passenger who was in the back seat survived.

- Aaron Hernandez reportedly on thin ice with Patriots before arrest

The New England Patriots released Aaron Hernandez after he was arrested. However, Hernandez may have been on shaky ground with the team even before that. An upcoming article in Rolling Stone magazine alleges Hernandez was one mistake away from being released.

According to the article, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick had become frustrated with Hernandez for missed practices and "thug-life stunts." So frustrated, in fact, Hernandez was "one misstep from being cut" by the team. New England signed Hernandez to a seven-year, $39.582 million extension during the 2012 offseason. If the claim is true, and New England was considering, or close to, releasing Hernandez, there would be a question of why New England signed him to the extension rather than letting him play out the final two years of his rookie contract.

The upcoming article, written by Rolling Stone contributing editor Paul Solotaroff, comes after Solotaroff interviewed several family friends, high school teammates and NFL sources. The article alleges Hernandez was a "heavy user of angel dust" (also known as PCP) and carried a gun on him wherever he went.

Hernandez allegedly cut off relationships with family and teammates and instead surrounded himself with a "cohort of gangsters." The article also alleges Hernandez's former college coach, and current Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, may have helped cover up failed drug tests and two violent incidents involving Hernandez.

The former Patriots tight end is currently facing a possible life sentence in prison without parole after he was indicted by a grand jury last week on a murder charge in the death of Odin Lloyd.

PHILADELPHIA -- The NFL and more than 4,500 former players want to resolve concussion-related lawsuits with a $765 million settlement that would fund medical exams, concussion-related compensation and medical research, a federal judge said Thursday.

The plaintiffs include at least 10 members of the Pro Football Hall of Fame, including former Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Dorsett. They also include Super Bowl-winning quarterback Jim McMahon and the family of Pro Bowl linebacker Junior Seau, who committed suicide last year.

Many former players with neurological conditions believe their problems stem from on-field concussions. The lawsuits accused the league of hiding known risks of concussions for decades to return players to games and protect its image.

The NFL has denied any wrongdoing and has insisted that safety has always been a top priority.

Senior U.S. District Judge Anita Brody in Philadelphia announced the proposed settlement Thursday after months of court-ordered mediation. She still must approve it at a later date.

The settlement likely means the NFL won't have to disclose internal files about what it knew, when, about concussion-linked brain problems. Lawyers had been eager to learn, for instance, about the workings of the league's Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Committee, which was led for more than a decade by a rheumatologist.

In court arguments in April, NFL lawyer Paul Clement asked Brody to dismiss the lawsuits and send them to arbitration under terms of the players' contract. He said that individual teams bear the chief responsibility for health and safety under the collective bargaining agreement, along with the players' union and the players themselves.

Players lawyer David Frederick accused the league of concealing studies linking concussions to neurological problems for decades.

Brody had initially planned to rule in July, but then delayed her ruling and ordered the two sides to meet to decide which plaintiffs, if any, had the right to sue. She also issued a gag order, so it has been unclear in recent weeks whether any progress was being made.

The lawyers were due to report back to her Tuesday, but Brody instead announced in court files Thursday that the case had settled.

In recent years, a string of former NFL players and other concussed athletes have been diagnosed after their deaths with chronic traumatic encephalopathy, or CTE. Those ex-players included Seau and lead plaintiff Ray Easterling, who filed the first suit in Philadelphia in August 2011 but later committed suicide.

About one-third of the league's 12,000 former players have joined the litigation since 2011. They include a few hundred "gap" players, who played during years when there was no labor contract in place, and were therefore considered likely to win the right to sue.

The timing of the settlement allowed the NFL to drop the issue from the national conversation before the start of the new season.

All 32 clubs were scheduled to play their final exhibition games Thursday night, in preparation for the start of the regular season next week. The first real game is next Thursday, with the reigning Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens playing at the Denver Broncos.

Concussions -- and the former players' lawsuits -- had become a main theme of recent NFL seasons, with players, coaches and league officials all forced to address the topic repeatedly, especially as new plaintiffs came forward on nearly a weekly basis. It was the sort of public relations distraction the league has become skilled at avoiding -- and the easiest way to set this topic aside, of course, was to have the court cases resolved.

So Elway threw seven Touchdowns yesterday....

http://media.thedenverchannel.com/photo/2013/09/06/elway%20misprint%20photo_1378478513449_866477_ver1 .0_320_240.jpg

DENVER - An Ohio Newspaper reported Friday morning that John Elway, not Peyton Manning, threw seven touchdown passes against the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night.

Multiple photos of the Columbus Dispatch's error began to go viral Friday morning.

Although the headline says Elway threw the passes, the first paragraph of the story is correct. It says, "Peyton Manning tied an NFL record with seven touchdown passes, and the Denver Broncos routed the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens 49-27 last night."

The second paragraph of the newspaper story says "Elway became the sixth player to throw that many touchdowns..."

In fact, Manning, the Broncos' current quarterback, became just the sixth player to throw for that many touchdowns.

"You never know what is going to happen in a game," he said afterward. "I felt like we had to keep scoring. Baltimore is an explosive offense and our defense never relaxed. They kept bringing the heat. I thought they did a good job playing and answering the bell without some of our top players – without [CB] Champ [Bailey], without [LB] Von Miller. I'm proud of our defensive players. We felt like we had to keep scoring because Baltimore can score at any time."

The second sentence of the story, however, reverted to using the wrong name.

John Elway, of course, is the former Broncos quarterback -- a Hall-of-Famer and two-time Super Bowl champion -- and now the Executive Vice President of Football Operations for the team.

The error was not present on the newspaper's website when 7NEWS checked this morning.

7NEWS has sent the Columbus Dispatch an inquiry requesting a comment on the error.

- Tampa Bay Buccaneers forced to shelve ‘Bucco Bruce’ because of player safety concerns

http://l.yimg.com/bt/api/res/1.2/vsF31umY2OOPf.EgvW6gTA--/YXBwaWQ9eW5ld3M7cT04NTt3PTYzMA--/http://media.zenfs.com/en/blogs/sptusnflexperts/USATSI_5780342.jpg

Those loyal Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans who planned to dust off their vintage Vinny Testaverde “creamsicle” jerseys on Sept. 29 are going to be disappointed.

The Buccaneers planned to wear their orange throwback uniforms against the Arizona Cardinals that day, but “Bucco Bruce” has been shelved because of the NFL’s safety concerns. Once helmets are properly fitted for each player at the beginning of the season, the league does not want them changed. This recommendation recently came from the NFL’s head, neck and spine committee as well as the player safety advisory panel.

Since Bucs players have already been fitted for their pewter-colored helmets, those old-school Errict Rhett jerseys will have to stay in the closet.

“While we regret that our players will not be able to don the ‘Bucco Bruce’ helmet and traditional orange, red and white uniforms, there simply was no acceptable way to meet the requirements of the new policy while staying true to the spirit of our throwback theme,” Buccaneers Chief Operating Officer Brian Ford said on the team’s website. “We will continue to explore options with the league office for bringing back this fan favorite in future seasons.”

TBO.com notes that even though the Chicago Bears wore alternate uniforms this past Sunday, the “C” decal removal was the only alteration to the helmet. The Buffalo Bills wore throwback uniforms, but simply used the 1960-style “buffalo” decal on their white helmets. Since Tampa Bay changed their colors, players would have to change helmets, which the league will not allow.

One wonders if this is also the end of "Pat Patriot." The Patriots have taken to wearing the old-school look with the iconic logo for throwback games, but "Pat Patriot" is depicted on a white helmet, and the Patriots normally wear silver. As the Uni Watch blog points out, Atlanta, Washington and Dallas might also be affected by this.

While forbidding a team to change helmets midseason seems extreme – it should be possible to wear "two" safe helmets in one year, right? – the NFL recently reached a $765 million concussion lawsuit settlement. Commissioner Roger Goodell is not going to risk any future litigation by allowing teams to switch helmets for a one-day event, even if there was a chance to celebrate former Bucs owner Hugh Culverhouse, who cared more about making money than winning.

OK, Bucs fans. Hall of Famer Lee Roy Selmon once wore those orange and white uniforms, so we will leave that 0-14 season in 1976 alone.

While Tampa Bay was forced to scratch its throwback uniforms, the Bucs will still have a Hispanic Heritage celebration against Arizona.

But who wants to party without "Bucco Bruce"?

- Hugh Douglas Arrested on Assault Charges, He Claims it was Just “Rough Sex”

The classic he said-she said scenario. He said she liked it rough… she said she was assaulted and strangled.

Hugh Douglas is having a bad year. Just over a month ago, he was fired by ESPN for calling his colleague Michael Smith an “Uncle Tom” and a “House Nigger.”

Yesterday, he was arrested on assault charges:

Douglas was arrested in downtown Hartford after police said he violently attacked a woman at a hotel.

Police said Douglas got into a fight at a woman at the Marriott Hotel at Adriaen’s Landing.

According to court documents, Douglas “grabbed her by the neck” and “slammed her into the walls several times.” The court papers go on to say that Douglas told investigators the victim’s injuries happened during rough sex.

Douglas was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree strangulation. Douglas was arraigned on Tuesday and his next court appearance is Oct. 21.

- Lions center Dominic Raiola apologizes to Wisconsin band; intends to make donation

Raiola was accused of insulting some band members' weight, and even questioned the sexuality of at least another before the national anthem at Green Bay this past Sunday. He allegedly used a highly derogatory term toward a female member of the band, too.

As a result, Raiola apologized to band director Michael Leckrone on Tuesday and intends to make a "significant" donation to The Marching Band Fund, which supports the band.

"My interaction with the Wisconsin Marching Band was inappropriate," Raiola said in a statement released by the team (c/o the team’s official website). "I apologize to those I offended along with all of the members of Wisconsin’s Marching Band.

"I also apologize to the Lions’ organization and my teammates. I understand the standards to which we should conduct ourselves, and my actions Sunday fell dramatically short of those standards."

Lions president Tom Lewand, who personally apologized to Leckrone on Monday, issued this statement:

"After investigating the matter and discussing Sunday’s events with Dominic, we are pleased that he has taken ownership of his actions and admitted those actions were wrong and unacceptable," the statement read.

"As we said yesterday, his actions were not reflective of the standard of behavior that we expect from any player or any member of our organization.

"We are also pleased that he is supporting his apology with a significant donation to the Wisconsin Marching Band Fund.

"Due to Dominic’s sincere and appropriate response, there will be no additional disciplinary action by the team."

Did anybody watch League of Crisis: NFL's concussion crisis on PBS? It was a two hour special regarding concussions and the research that went into studying how players obtained concussions. It's crap how the NFL denied it for so darn long. Then again, it's a business. Of course they're going to deny it.

Our Adrian Peterson baby count was off by two -- at least according to one of the NFL star's baby mamas, who tells us AP has actually fathered SEVEN kids, not five.

TMZ broke the story about baby #5 (http://www.tmz.com/2013/10/16/adrian-peterson-4th-baby-mama-5th-baby-dancer-gentlemens-club/) today, but Erica Syion -- a former dancer who met AP in Houston a few years back -- called in to "TMZ Live" today to correct our math ... and the numbers are pretty shocking.

As for how good of a dad Adrian is, Erica says he dutifully pays his child support ... but could definitely stand to spend more quality time with his children.
