Yeah i noticed that but tony romo or any else is not using that as an excuse.

When did the balls changed like that?

I know they change in different kicking balls (with i believe less air) during field goals, kickoffs, and punts, but I never noticed if they greased them or not.

The Eagles fucked up before that when they had a 2nd and 1 at the red zone. All they had to do was a QB sneak for that measly yard. Instead they fail on two attempts and settle for 3, instead of a winning touchdown.
Both D's played like shit. If the Colts get New Orleans in the Bowl, they'll murder that weak pass D. The Colts O struggled yesterday only because they were playing the best D in the league. However, the Colts have the best D in the playoffs thus far, and that's all that matters.

Colts will win as a team, it doesn't matter if Peyton doesn't have a great game (he has 5 INT's in the playoffs). The Colts' kicking game is on point and their D is on FIRE! All the Colts have to do is play the short game (pass to tight ends, backs), run hard, win the time of possession. The D will do the rest. Brady will throw more INT's next week, only this time it will cost the Pats the game. Look for Veneteri (the Pats former kicker) to come up big yet again.

Peyton will be on fire in the Super Bowl, though. The NFC teams are a lot weaker across the board than the AFC teams this year.

Congrats to the Saints for having a good season, especially after the tragedy, and their dismal season last year. But the Bears were the better team this year, and they proved it by kicking the Saints asses. The cold weather thing is a lame excuse. The Bears would have beaten the Saints, where ever they played them. I got real tired of people saying stupid things, such as the Bears having no chance against the Saints.

People in here some weeks back were saying the Bears were real overrated, and they would never make it to the Super Bowl. Now those people are silenced, because they were talking crazy. Now people are saying the Bears have no chance against the Colts. The Bears were the better team during the season, and more dominant. They will prove that in the Super Bowl when they beat the Colts, and silence the people that don't know anything about football. Get real, like the Bears, bloody blokes.

The Bears didn't have any turnovers, and Grossman didn't get sacked at all, in Sunday's game. If the Colts horrible defense they displayed during the regular season, shows up at the Super Bowl, they are in trouble. They gave up the most yards per play, of any team.

Yeah, the Colts defense has stepped it up, so far in the playoffs. I'm just saying if they revert back to the way their defense played during the season, they are in trouble.

I still don't know why so many people were picking the Saints over the Bears, yet the Bears were favored to win. Maybe cause it was a 'good feeling' story, but life isn't a fairy tale.

The new coach that the Cowboys get, might not want to deal with T.O., either. So maybe the Cowboys will get rid of the drama queen. I don't like the Colts at all, Manning in particular, but Chicago don't match up very well at all. They pound the ball and then look for the deep passes with Grossman. Now if you're good at the short range passes this will allow you to sneak those deep throws down field, well Grossman is horrible at that kinda game. Seems he's either tossing passes for 60 yards or he's handing off, mixed in with screen passes here and there.

Now if the Colts were playing their regular season type D, they'd be in trouble cuz Grossman would have about 10 pass attempts all game with Benson and Jones constantly running it, but the Colts D in these playoffs has shown to be pretty stout against the run, definetly enough to force you to pass, and good luck tossing it downfiled with the cover 2 they run. Its designed to take away the deep pass. The Bears defense is gonna be enough to keep them in the game but still looks like the Colts are gonna be the champs, much as I hate to admit it.

fuck peyton go bears, ima steelers fan and i fuckin hate peyton, the patriots colts game was over-rated, peyton needs to prove he can win a big game to me. go bears, urlacher is a god among men, look for him to shut down the run and force peyton into fast throws, the bears secondary is too fast and athletic for reggie wayne and marvin harrison, peyton throws 2 touchdowns, but the 2 picks are too much bears win on a decent grossman performance 27-17 with thomas jones shredding a terrible colts run defense and whenever he needs a break give it to cedric benson who will also have a big game, the bears speed and athleticism is too much for the colts to handle

pathetic little peyton hatercrats can all die. you have nothing to say anymore.

grossmen sux, and no it wasnt all his fault. the bears as team got exposed for what they were. a defense that relied too heavily on turnovers and couldnt really stop anyone, and an offense that cant move the ball unless its on special teams.

netscape check two
02-09-2007, 12:19 AM
A defense that can't stop anyone? lol The Bears have a good defense, but they played too conservative in that game. They didn't want to give up too many big pass plays, but they ended up giving up a bunch of shorter passes and running plays. They should have pressured Manning a lot more, cause he would have gotten flustered. Also, not to make excuses for the defense, but the Bears were missing two of their main guys in the Super Bowl.

Also, the Bears can move the ball on offense, they have good receivers, and two quality running backs.

THE W

saying their D was terrible may be a stretch but it was highly overrated and it showed. i said before the game started that if the colts dont commit turnovers they will win that game. they made that defense become a 3 and out D instead of turnover D and when you do that the bears D becomes pretty average. they took away special teams and the running game(for the most part) and made rex win it for them(fat chance).

even though that game was close for most of the game, when the colts went up by 5 that game was practically over. the colts knew rex wasnt gonna do anything. all the colts had to do was make sure the bears started from their opponents 30 at best. why do you think that near the end of the game the colts go for it on 4th down instead of going for 3 when they were clearly in fieldgoal range? they knew rex didnt have the ability to put together a drive.

all of the bears flaws were brought to light in that superbowl.

They didn't try the field goal, because their field goal kicker was shaky on some of the kicks during the game, plus with the rain, it made the chances of missing the kick more likely.

And I wouldn't call the Bears defense highly overrated. Like I said, if two of their main defensive guys wouldn't have been injured, their defense would have been stronger in the super bowl.

THE W
02-10-2007, 12:04 PM
shaky? are you kidding? thats adam frikin vinateri one of the most clutch kickers ever. remember that field goal he kicked in the snow?

yeah he blew a chip shot before the half, but hey you cant make them all. they didnt want to give the bears special teams a chance to make anything happen cuz they knew that was the only thing that could hurt them offensively. they figured its better to go for it. if they make it, the game is over, if they dont, the game is still over cuz rex wasnt gonna drive them down the field anyway.

EDIT: the injury excuse isnt gonna cut it when the 03 patriots won 14 regular season games and the superbowl with a defense held together with bandaids and elmers glue.

Last year, all the talk was "we feel comfortable that Carr is the guy we want" and they draft Mario Williams. that alone killed me, but now you want a new QB when you could've had the best clutch QB to come out the draft in years..................and then passed up on him????

Its devestating as a fan when your team is a full year behind schedule. VY would've sold out every home game and converted over quite a few Cowboy fans in the process. Makes me wonder what the fuck these guys are thinkin.

Tim Carter is ok. But yea, he's not really going to help your team dramatically. Just another WR with some speed.

Droughns aint a bad back, he just needs touches, but I dont understand having him AND Jacobs back there. They needed a quick back like Tiki.

Jamal Lewis is definitely an upgrade Charles Jones. I'm kinda miffed at what the Browns will do with their pick. I really don't want to see Quinn as the pick, but who knows maybe he will be good.

Pacman Jones has signed with TNA, I'm guessing this would be for just a storyline, but we'll see.

it has now been confirmed that suspended NFL Tennessee Titan cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones has signed a deal with TNA Wrestling. The deal was reportedly signed late last week.
As noted earlier, Jones is currently suspended for the entire 2007 NFL season without pay for personal problems which most noteably includes a shooting at a Las Vegas strip club that left former independent pro wrestler Tommy Urbanski paralyzed. His current suspension could possibly be lifted 10 games into the season pending a hearing. Jones was recently informed he wouldn't be allowed to attend the Titans training camp.

According to reports, the Titans organization has no issue with Jones getting involved with pro wrestling and TNA at this time. This was not an idea by Vince Russo to bring Jones into the company. Expect more news regarding this situation later today and during the week.

I'm glad it's settled I hope it stays that way, but I'm just pissed because Tiki doesn't respect the Giants and to me, he's not a true ex-Giant. It's a shame because growing up he was my RB for the Giants and I loved em, even when he was a clumsy runner. He forgets those years when he was the man fucking up, and NO ONE dissed him. The team always stood by Tiki. Something Tiki forgot about the past few seasons.

Tiki just looking for attention,I wish he was still playing so the BEARS deffence could put him in the hospital!!!!

Broncos vs Saints Superbowl

Visionz

I could see the Saints in the NFC but I don't see the Broncos making it there yet. Jay Cutler seems waaaay too young to get them through the AFC.

I expect the Texans to actually surprise some people and just miss the playoffs, .500 maybe a game over. Never know how just how preseaon translates but they've moved the ball well with the new QB and Jacoby Jones is for real, that's not even a guess. I also expect the defense to be alot better as well.

saints win 41-37, bush 1td, colston 2td, deuce 1td, henderson 1td

peyton has a flawless game but 1 3rd down conversion failure too many.

brees rolls thru colts D like it wasnt there

total of 1 turnover

500 yards of offense appiece.

gonna be a good game

wow - i am amazed that people doubt the colts so much, like new orleans had a chance, please! the colts ripped apart the bears, the ravens, and new england last year during their stellar super bowl run and you'd doubt they'd carry over that excellence this year?? what more do they have to do that they haven't done in the last few years to make you all believe???

the colts D was excellent against a pretty good offense only giving up 3 points(cant count a return fumble against the defense) and holding brees to a near record low for average yards per completion. manning shit on the saints secondary in the second half, or at least #42. the colts looked unbeatable. entertaining game.

your bias makes me want to throw up, eat the puke, and throw it up again.

and it was the saints o-line that was out-of-sync... they rarely set good running blocks and the LT barely got in front of dwight freeney half of the passing plays. when brees had time and vision to throw he was on-point, its just that those opportunities were few and far between. if brees got blocking he would've picked apart that cover-2 consistently, after bush and mcallister softened up the box.

but indy played like world champs, no doubt about it

Indy definetly had a good game. They just better hope Sanders doesn't ever get seriously injured through the season. He holds that whole defense together for them. Still think they're gonna have issues against power running teams. I was also surprised that NO never really took any downfield shots until the game was out of reach.

meh, hes a sub-par corner to begin with.. and peyton can make nearly any corner in the league look terrible. he did make an incredible play on wayne stripping it and returning for a TD, so he deserves some credit.

but overall he's just outclassed by wayne and harrison, not to mention manning... i bet they've scored 3+ TDs on tons of DBs in the past 2-3 years

What's Eli doing throwing TD's with a seperated shoulder..? That bum.

Anyway, looks like you were 'mis-informed' by the global mass media as were many people. Eli will be back sooner than you thought.

If J-Lo has to start this week, I know he'll get us a dub at home. And if Eli somehow misses the two games after that, they're division games which WILL be made up. Just like that Dallas loss? WILL be made up at home in the Meadowlands when the G-Men storm the field in the red uni's!

BJ's out for quite some time.. but D-Ward (yes D-Ward kinda like D-Wade) can TAKE that RB role from him. Even if he doesn't perform to that type of amazingness(yeah beeytch), then when BJ comes back it'll be the new THUNDER-AND-LIGHTNING, hahahahahah!!

i think new england getting caught really just shows how much more elite they are as an organization than most other teams.

dont kid yourself and say that no other teams have tried / succeeded in stealing signals and calls, the pats have been doing it since before they won their first of their recent superbowls. They're so good at it (like everything else that has to do with football) that they finally got caught red-handed.

obviously its all speculation but i would not be suprised if they've stolen signals in 8-10 games per year for the last 5 seasons, along with many other NFL teams.

the game revolves around winning, if you win, your popular, better-paid, happier, more famous, etc etc etc.. these guys are OBSESSED with winning and will do whatever it takes (within some bounds of reason).. stealing signals? psssssshhhhhhttt

but that punishment is very harsh.. a 1st round pick? thats very significant

Treazon
09-15-2007, 10:54 PM
after reading that you probably think im dick-riding the pats, but im not even in a fan of them necessarily, i just respect the organization as one of the best in all of sports..

im all about the giants... so im glad the thread is already going towards that haha... eli will be back in 2 games at the most... jacobs is a tough motherfucker he'll be back in 4, and d-ward and droughns will be able to carry the load well enough. im worried about the SHITTIEST PASS DEFENSE IN THE LEAGUE RIGHT NOW, that the giants proudly boast.

i mean if you watched their game against the cowboys you could see how retardedly easy a job faggot-ass romo had in throwing to especially witten and owens because of their size and route running abilities.. but seriously, if the g-men dont sort out their coverage skeems they might not even have a winning season this year, when they have the talent to win 10-11 games and win the division... shit is sad

^didn't look like that shit mattered tonight, I'm not a Pats fan but Brady to Moss=game over, he's great at finding the open man and Moss is great at getting open. That was a real good Chargers defense they hung 38 on.

muhfucking TEXANS are 2-0 for the first time in franchise history. Schaub is making sound descisions and the offense is doing a great job of getting Andre Johnson into mismatched situations. but the singlest biggest stat I was seeing today against the Panthers, ZERO sacks given up, ZERO, this was basically the same line that let Carr get sacked about 2 billions times playing against a solid pash-rush led by Julius Peppers, a great day in football for the state of Texas

but with "half a team" the bears D/ST is still good enough to win like 6 games by itself, if the O can put up some points for 4 games they can win 10 and get in the playoffs easily

the giants however.... are playing like total shit.. DB coach needs to get fired and possibly assassinated
