But this album is wayy too nice, Noble was on some lyric juice er' some shyt, cuz every track has quotable lines.. the beats were real nice, he kept shyt classic, didn't get sucked into this soft hip hoppy shyt.. was feelin' this shyttttttt hardd... cop this shyt wen it hits yer local record joint

03-26-2007, 04:40 AM
naah, just kiddin'...

anyway..i'mma def check the album out, I hope it's good

03-26-2007, 02:08 PM
....I dont like how he did it.....it just all about club music...and too much boomboomboom kinda music....meth's 4:21 was better

but still, his lyrics are good, he's funny like always

03-26-2007, 02:22 PM
If 4:21 was better I am NOT looking forward to this.

He's such a great rapper but the style of beats I've been hearing him on on random songs over the net recently is just not a nice style. What happened to Dare Iz A Darkside?

03-26-2007, 11:11 PM
1) Fire - 3/5

2) Bak Inda Buildin 4/5

3) Put It Down 2/5 horrible beat

4) Gimmie One 4/5

5) Skit

6) Sumtn 4 Urrbody 1/5 wack beat

7) How U Like Dat 3/5

8) Freestyle 3/5

9) Walk In Gutta 4.5/5 hot track

10) Wutchaooganodoo 4/5 good

11) Diz Is Brick City 4/5 hot

12) Rite Now 3.5/5 ok

13) Bow Treez 2/5 Not feelin beat

14) Pimp Nutz 2.5/5 Not feelin' beat

15) Mr. Ice Cream Man - skit

16) Hold Dis' Blow 2.5/5 Not feelin beat

17) Get 'em - 2/5 NOt feeling beat

18) Merry Jane - 2/5 Not feelin beat

19) Gilla House Check 3/5

20) No Mo SoopaMan Luva - skit

21) SoopaMan Luva - 2.5/5 don't like beat

22) SoopMan Luva - 3/5

23) Suicide - 2/5 dont' like beat

Overall the first 10 tracks are decent but
after that I don't like the beats I think Redman is catering to the southern crunk fans on this one...I don't like those slow heavy bass beats. It seems like Redman's not really reppin' the east on this album like he did back on Muddy Waters. I could see this having more commercial appeal. Fuck Def Jam

03-27-2007, 10:11 AM
Dont have the album yet but I would like to hear Red do some production himself like he did on Dare iz a darkside.

03-27-2007, 11:25 AM
Bak Inda Buildin is the best track on the album easily...

03-27-2007, 11:36 AM

03-27-2007, 05:44 PM

this has to be alright.. i kind of want to cop..it.. i will try..

03-27-2007, 06:18 PM
only some of the production is wack and it has alot of club beats but red makes it work with dirty lyrics and persona

good surprise to me, Redman still got it and really doesn't sound washed up or something...
As for the comparison with 4:21, to me Red Gone Wild is quite better : more coherence, beats overall suit Red's style better than 421's beats suited Meth.
Id give it a good 4/5

04-04-2007, 05:07 PM
I haven't heard Redman's latest album yet but i'm not surprised at some of the guys comments about his beats suck on the album. Redman's beats weren't that good on Doc's Da Name and Malpractice. Did Erick Sermon do the majority of the production on the album? Erick's beats have been terrible since after his solo albums No Pressure and Double Or Nothing. His beats sounded good on his last album Chilltown NY. I would like to hear Redman rap again over some funky beats like on his first 3 albums.

To me the album is on Fiya!!!!!!!!! I am from the south so maybe thats why I feel the beats so hard. But he be spittin!!!!!! Any down south artist (except prolly Weezie) could have had those beats and the songs would've been half as good . The soopaman luva songs are prolly the best in the series. Hurricane G is a beast to me. The only down fall is the collabos. With the exception of the blow treez, and the afore mentioned soopaman luva song, everybody seems to not be able to keep up with red.

I think this is the first album in a minute that I think has "sumthin 4 Urrbody" to listen to from up north, to down bottom, out to the left coast, and all between. Gotta give red his props!!! Besides who else beside Ghost is droppin about 20 traks minus skits??????? 4.5/5

04-06-2007, 09:16 AM
Overall the album is good..even though I hate about 70% of the beats I think they suit Redman's style. Like the other guy said, Meth's beats were a little too smooth for his rugged flow. But Red did a good job...he hasn't missed a step over 15 years.

This album is pretty good, marry jane, suicide, and put it down are the only tracks i can't listen to for real. The rest are hot, redman is the king of punchlines and little metaphors, he make's papoose's lines look retarded. You gotta pick up this unless you one of the haters who don't like beats that bump.

05-05-2007, 01:56 PM
I've listened to the first 15 tracks so far and i'm only feeling about maybe 2 songs and that's messed up because Redman can do better than that. I don't like the beats at all on this album. Redman is still a tight mc but the beats on this aren't good and his Gilla House crew is featured on too many songs. Gilla House dudes got skills but i'd rather hear Redman rhyme by himself.

05-09-2007, 10:23 AM
I really like Redman and liked all his albums from the first ones untill Malpractice and Doc's da name but I gotta confess that I was disappointed by the choice of the beats for this one. Redman still kills anyway.

i bought the album cos of the good reviews i read on here

havnt listened to it really since the day i bought it. its not all that but its okay

05-15-2007, 11:07 AM
A bit boring to me.

05-28-2007, 04:02 PM

05-30-2007, 05:22 PM
I thought the album was wack because of the beats. Redman's lyrics are still tight. I wanted to hear some funky beats on this album like the beats he rapped on from his first 2 albums.

05-30-2007, 06:16 PM
it was redman album ever made but i don't blame him it's def jam

06-12-2007, 06:18 PM
Finally bought this album. Its pretty good, its a bit too long though, and theres too many producers. the scott storch beat is wack as hell.
overall its dope, probably better than the 'docs da name' LP
the best 2 joints on there was pete rock and timbos ones, they shoulda put some more beats on there.

PS: i just noticed Redman shouts out Wu-Tang like 5 times on this album

personally, i dont like the beats and their clubbage-ness that much, havent listened to the album properly tho. Redmans 1 of my faavourite rappers ever, but on some songs he sounds really tired. looking forward to muddy waters 2.

i like this album. Redman proved to me that he hasn't lost it yet. to me, it's not always the beats, it's what you do with them.

10-13-2007, 09:04 PM
it was good but not his best. Album cover of the year though

man this red album was good shit...yeh it dont sound like dare iz a darkside or muddy waters but shit was bangin the hell outta my stereo for like 2 weeks straight...the beats are dope (with the exception of Get ŽEm, the beat was horrible) Blow Treez, Pimp Nutz, Rite Now n Freestyle are my shits!

Don't like this album at all!! Production is pretty weak, prolly cuz it was done by Red himself, and didn't even listened this album deeper!!!

I would rate it Average or Good in Wu-Corp Albums Review tradition!!!

10-07-2008, 09:28 AM
not good. There are a few nice tracks but red did not have hat crazy flow on this album and the production was not good.

What you talking about dude? Red used loads of producers, some of them pretty famous. He only produced skits and one song himself.

Watch, I'm talking about Pete Rock, Erick Sermon, Clark Kent, Timbaland, Scott Storch and Rockwilder here.

Otherwise, album is pretty mediocre to me... I need to take my time to write one of my long ass reviews.

^^ I read on some blog that 99% of this album was produced by Red himself!! Honestly, I haven't checked if it's true, but I went now on wiki, & saw u r right!!! Still that doen't change the fact that production is on much lower level than on Whut. Dare or Muddy Waters or even Malpractise!!!

10-08-2008, 01:43 AM
lol Redman is crazy nice with the production, he produced large parts of all his classic albums... i was actually feeling this one when it came out but i never got around to buying it so i'm not sure if i would still enjoy it much since i haven't listened much to it. some wack songs but lot of bangers - the one Clark Kent laced is fucking nutzzzz, love that beat though Fat Joe/Buckwild flipped the sample just as nasty on "Still Real".

10-08-2008, 01:50 AM
this album is great i bump it it gets you pumped up

01-15-2009, 07:35 PM
Havent heard this album yet, about to buy it online right now.
But I think I'm gonna like this CD because Red was always an MC that done really well with the clubby commercialised beats. Also, I usually stick on a Redman album when I just wanna hear some bangin and rappin'.

BTW Put em down is fuckin bangin'!
