I picked up 'I Need Drugs'. I'm listening through it currently - Necro's got a great flow and some funny lyrics. I didn't dig the first track but the title track was fucking great. Pretty good beats.

For the most part, the production is just like any other necro album, but there's a few tracks that are really metal-ish. One of the songs is practicly a death metal song with some rapping on it.

he is at his best in the pre fix .. and the quality of the project is high

My favorite is The Prefix-For Death, some dope beats like reflection of children comin up in the grave, push it to the limit, kill that shit, beautiful music for you to die to, Death Rap etc, those are some of my favorites

and necro is on point lyrically

Gory Days good album also.

i never checked mr hydes album, is it worth a listen? I got Goretex's which i think necro did the production for

Necro seems to be getting worse. He's kinda become like a parody of himself. The whole 'I'm gonna eat ya brain and rape ya mother' type shit is getting old fast.

Never liked Hyde, he always seemed like he desperately wanted to be Necro and Necro probably kept him around as he idolises him.

Necro is a genius with the mic and the beats (the beats more)

I love all of his old material but The Pre-Fix For Death is = Savage especially
"The Dispensation Of Life & Death" that track is his best to date I think.

Plus Mr. Hyde's album is DOPE!!! Necro blesses that album for beats and owns the track
"Satanic Wordplay" one of the best verses I think I have heard.

Wu-Tang need to reach out to him & Stoupe The Enemy Of Mankind.

i agree because necro and stoupe still have that grimey golden era wu-tang type sound in their beats

Necro sucks, and should stay far far away from Wu-Tang....

Seriously.

What in the world is wrong with you?

Nothing in my view-

Seriously he is.

At first I thought that he was just an average rapper but like I said check the track on
Mr. Hyde's album = "Knief In You'r Spine/Satanic Wordplay" his verse is incredible.

Don't get me wrong:

Ill Bill
Sabac Red
Goretex

Are all better than him on the mic but he is original and unique and I like that shit.
I also have a freestyle on the radio of him where he slices the mic rhyming over his own beats.

fuck yeah, especially "theatre of creeps" on that album....cant stop listenin to dat track

I love:

The Chosen Few - The beat reminds me of vengance!
Theatre Of Creeps - Ill Bill OWNS this track
Carnivores - Ill Bill is sick
Take It In Blood - Makes me laugh.. that sample
Joe Spinell - reminds me of Radioactive?
The Black Wings Of Apocalypse - Perfect track

i also think necros production would go GREAT w/ some killa bee darts, namely killah priest, shabazz, gravediggaz, holocaust, etc.

Definatly those dark side Killa-Beez would suit him pefectly also:

Shogun Assassin
Jus Allah
Canibus

And definatly Holocaust just look what he did to Blue Sky Black Death's beats
And imagine what would happen with Necro!

even production wise? if so.......crack kills

The Wu have their own "Wu-Elements" but I think that Necro & Stoupe would work very well with them.
Has anyone heard the track he has with U-God that is banging.

LuckyTheWonderDog
08-12-2007, 12:58 PM
he is original and unique and I like that shit.

He's not exactly original, especially not now that he's basically re-written the same verse 5000 times. How many times can you talk about the exact same thing? We get it Necro, your gonna brutalise us, rape our women and cut us to pieces and post the bits to our family while dancing round an altar to satan. Shit, heavy metal did that 30 years ago. He can flip words, but has no variety or depth whatsoever.

He can be a great producer, but needs quality control. Never makes bad beats, but does release a lot of average ones. He needs to release less and keep it of a higher standard (rather than trying to produce 20 albums a year.)

How long has Necro been around anyway? I got the Gory Days album after seeing him at a metal fesitval in June. He's got one track where he uses the riffs from a Sepultura song, anybody know the name of it?

I took that offensivly...

anyway.. I have every Necro album / Necro affiliated (non phixion, mr hyde etc..) album ever made.. including posters and gear.. had some fam that use to work for him so i got all the hook ups..

Necro fell off badly, including Ill Bill.. but his best work is Gory Days and Pre-Fix For Death

Bury You With Satan is probably my favorite track.. he talks about killing you in so many different ways.. Light My Fire is dope too.

Necro is definetly raw.. who else you know would make a video with his uncle in it shooting up dope.

LOL @ people in this thread recommending a Mr Hyde album.

Dude is garbage, his verses would look dope on paper but his delivery is utter shit.

He sounds like a fucking zombie who decided to persue a rap career.

You guys realize that everything Necro produced from 2001-2005 is also available in instrumental form, right?

Just get the that version of BotND and stay far away from Hyde's wack ass.

That guy has no business laying guest vocals on albums, much less having a solo career.

BTW, I'm a Necro fan, but Hyde is doo-doo.

Yeah the best thing about Necro is that everything he's ever produced, he's released instrumental versions of the albums as well. All of his solo albums, Mr. Hyde's shit, all three Non-Phixion debuts etc

never listen to this guy outside of features and what ive heard doesnt give me the incentive to want to download his music....my opinion

Mr. R&B
04-20-2012, 09:18 AM
I love most of Necro's work, so it's hard to say.

The Prefix for Death is Necro at his lyrical and stylistic peak.

Some of his hardest beats, illest concpets, and viciously consise rhyme schemes in his entire career.

I just wish ther wasn't quite so much Metal fusion stuff on there.

I get why he does it, and he pulls it off way better than anyone else doing that type of shit, but it kinda fucks the flow of an album up for me.

To me, it goes like this:

The Prefix for Death
Gory Days
I Need Drugs
Death Rap
DIE!

Not because any of them are bad, mind you, but that's the order I rank them in.

I don't really include Brutality Part 1 as a true Necro LP, it was more of a PLR showcase album.

So if you're looking for a place to start, Fatal, go with that.

It's got the other artists on the label to balance it out if you want Necro in smaller doses.

Looking forward to MMKK and The Godfathers.
