View Full Version : Jaylib - Champion Sound (Question)

I just picked up this album yesterday for the first time. The only song I heard before was "The Red", but when I listened to it today, the song is different. Did they change (tracklistings) or rerecord this song or did I have my shit messed up?

the red got remixed i think due some kind of sample clearence problem

The original 'The Red' was a lot better IMO - You can probably find it somewhere online.

Watch that, it's the original version - It comes a little into the video, watch it all though, I wish the song started like it does here.

they rapped over each others beats as in madlib would rap on a dilla beat and dilla on a madlib beat

Agreed. I heard rumors of Jaylib 2 being made (not this new one) with new songs/beats. Hopefully the rumors are true and they're keeping it on the D/L.

I was thinking the same thing, why this beat? Sample clearance makes sense.

The new beat is horrible in my opinion.

Rest of the album is great.

Talib makes a good cameo.

What is the weird rapping voice good for though? (That shit that sounds like an old eminem).

That's quasimoto's gimmick. If you could get past the geeky voice, then you should do fine. I got the deluxe edition of this CD that came with the instrumentals, shit makes you appreciate the beats better imo.

Ah, I see, I don't hate the voice but I don't like it (n)either. <--- Is that to be written with or without a N? Lol.

I've got the same version, with the instrumentals, and some extra songs.

Did you like the new version of the red?

I don't mind the new version of the red, just wondered why the first one was changed, but that has been answered in this thread.

And to answer your grammatical question, whether it was rhetorical or not, it's without the "n".

Ok, cool.

Still a good album tho, despite some disappointed heads on that red song.

Great album, 1 song doesn't ruin an album.
