One of the best supergroups ever.

George Harrisson, Jeff Lynn, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Roy Orbison.
I've loved them since I was like 5 or 6 years old.I remember when I woke up early when I was like 5 years old, before everyone got up, and I always went through my dad's cd collection, finding Vol 1 and playing it.I've never stopped listening to them, but now, with the release of The Traveling Wilbury's Collection, my love for them and their music has expanded to a whole new level.Classic tracks all of them. The albums they released ( Vol 1 and Vol 3 ) are now out of print so I highly recommend buying The Traveling Wilbury's Collection ( as I did ).You get both albums with bonus tracks plus a DVD with a 25 minute documentary about the making of the first album and the video clips they made. For everyone who loves Bob Dylan or George Harrisson ( The Beatles ) or Jeff Lynn ( ELO ) or Tom Petty ( and The Heartbreakers ) or Roy Orbison or all of them, this is a musthave. This was Roy Orbison last musical contribution released before his death. He died a few weeks after the release of Vol 1.A great voice that never was matched.
If you wanna see a vid or something go to youtube and type End Of The Line. It's the second video they made to promote Vol 1.It doesn't feature Roy Orbison because of his untimely death but his presence is still there and they pay hommage to him in a beautiful way.

Thanks homie. I had a look at it but the price was a little steep, and I'm on some serious money saving shit at the moment. Plus I've already got volume 1. I'll probably end up buying it if I really like it anyway.

Vol.1 is one of my favourite albums ever! I like parts of vol.3, but a few tracks sound a bit corny.

It's a nice set though and great to have the dvd.

Have you got the Vol.2 bootleg? I just downloaded something called
Recovered Treasure (Bootleg Booty) or something, dunno if it's pretty much the same as the vol.2 bootleg or what.

Nah not corny, just different...Vol 1 can never be topped true but Vol 3 was a very good effort following up Vol 1.As for the Vol 2 bootleg...I don't have it but rumors are that Tom Petty's album Full Moon Fever is considered Vol 2 because Jeff Lynne, George Harrison and Roy Orbison play on that one.

Still think a few tracks on Vol. 3 are a bit corny.

Yeah, I know that some people call Tom Petty's album an unofficial Vol.2, but there was also a bootleg of unreleased stuff that someone released after Vol.1 that was also rumoured to be the reason they called their second album Vol.3.

If you're a big fan of Travelling Wilbury's, then I can't see how you don't have Full Moon Fever. Go buy it!

Sorry mate. the thing I downloaded was a load of crap. It was just like a compilation of the two albums. The Vol.2 bootleg is something I've only seen once and I lost touch with the person that had it.

I don't get you. If you're knocking them, then one thing I will say, is that the day you make anything muscially that resonates like anything Bob Dylan has ever done, I'll be flying to work on a magic pig.

"Stuck in airports, terrorized, sent to meetings, hypnotized, over exposed, commercialized, handle me with care". George Harrison on 'Handle With Care'. Sounds like he's talking about the Beatle days. I've liked the Wilbury's since the 80's when my dad used to play them
