View Full Version : Thoughts on Kanye West - Stronger

I personally like this song and video. It brings some originality to hip-hop. The beat is crazy... especially at the end if you hear the full song... the guitar rips are reminiscent of an anime cartoon theme. I think its good to hear lyrics like:

i ask, cause i'm not sure
do anybody make real shit anymore?
bow in the presence of greatness
cause right now thou has forsaken us
you should be honored by my lateness
that i would even show up to this fake sh*t

What are your thoughts on the song and video?

i already made my opinion on it clear in some other threads, but fuck originality, i know daft punk are cool with it, but hes just sampling the exact same fucking thing as them.

and it sounds shit. so yeah...

I used to hate Kanye, but he is improving every time I hear him. He's had dope production lately, Be had some amazing beats (Fuck if you hate it), this I didn't like at first.... but it's growing on me. He's just fucking tripper, much respect to Kanye, no one can do this besides him and he knows it. Stepping it up as an MC too, working with Com seems to be helping him IMO.

I reckon in 10 years time he's gonna have a massive collection of hits, probably looked upon as a legend. I don't feel all his shit, but props to him for just doing whatever the fuck he likes.

I preferred the original Daft Punk joint, the way the beat switches up and shit is fucking crazy.
but kanye's joint is okay i guess.

I don't rate Kanye West as an MC at all but he is gifted with beats no doubt.

he's never gonna be no Nas or Ras Kass, but he is improving!

can't wait for his and Common's album
