Yes, you knew it was comming cause the DS Lite's been kicking the PSP's ass. Sony has revealed it's plans on releasing a smaller PSP come the end of the year.

this new PSP will be 33% lighter and 19% thinner than the original. Plus some new features. It will have a built in TV output so that you can play games and watch your UMDs from a full screen TV. It' hasn't been announced if it will be full screen output or windowed but that's still cool. It will also load UMDs faster with it's new built in data caching abilites. No price yet but it will drop in September.

Now for the screens.

i think they should have made more chnages to be honest

i know theres alot of hate towards the psp which i can unsderstand why but my personal opinon is psp is great and i use it alot and it does what i want so it jus suits me really. so im not a hater

but i think the new psp should have more new features

like the volume and home buttons at the bottom should have lights behind them so you can see what to press in the dark

and maybe a lock on the off button as ive turned it off while playing before and so did i mate of mine so its a tiny problem (only done it once but still)

have 4 gig built in or somehting

the folders you ahve to put things in (like vids and stuff when u putting stuff on frm computer) should already be there and jus a drag and drop system cos seeting up the folders is just annoying as everythign has to be so specific.

scratch proof screen (havnt scrached mine so its pretty good at getting no scraches especially compared to i pods!!)

really good battery life

i dunno theres prob some other things which i cant think of right now (and some of the thigns ive said might actually be on the new psp i dont know please say if so)

You know me all too well Ron :) But that's actually not a bad idea. I'll hook ya up

I agree, they should've made more changes. I left a few out that I found out about after my first post. The screen is brighter too, they removed the IR port seeing as how no one but PSP hackers use it. They also moved the WI-FI switch to the top of the system to avoid switching it off or on during a game. Also, the new system has 64 megs of RAM as opposed to 32 the original has. But even still, some built in memory to save shit too would've been nice too...

Also, you should be able to just drag and drop now for music and videos. The new firmwares allow you to do that. What version are you running?

Will this new PSP be made of the same materials as the old one or no? The reason why I'm asking is because those PSP's look pasitic. /( If they are, they'll break easly. I know because I've dropped mine a couple of times.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm assuming that those were just molds they used to show them off. And yeah, you really can't tell how much slimmer they are. I've been lookin for pics but can't find any.

Wow, I haven't played that one in a minute. I've been working on Emerald so I can max out my old Pokemon and do damage online wit them. I think I'm on my third badge in Diamond though. You get online to play with anyone yet?

Back on topic though, I found some 360 shots of the PSP slim. And this would probably entice some of ya'll to go cop one. Take a look at the Special version they're dropping for the release of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII

I might just hold out and wait for this one to drop in the states before I cop one. It's packed in the Crisis Core and that wriststrap is hot :)
