some of his shit is nice i like that he samples alot, but why when rza is 1 of the nicest then u got 4th, tru masta, bronze got a few, thats wu tang style they should stick to that i think u know everyone got there time to shine kanye is on top now but in a few years nope rza rza rza all the way peace. plus why pay for a beat when u can make them yourself????

I would hate that. I think Kanye is an overated producer. That new single Diamonds is pretty fuckin' awful. I can only listen to about 5 songs on college dropout. And so many of his beats are recycled.

HELL YEAH! Am a big fan of Kanye's beats. He did wonders for Common, gave us John Legend and the beats he makes for other and himself are great.

Even if you hate Kanye, be honest, wu have rocked over far worse beats. far far far far worse than your ugliest nightmare of kanye production. just let that marinate for a second

I guess you're right in that sense. But I found Common's new album to be kinda cheesy when it came to the beats. And Wu lyrics and Kanye beats wouldn't really go to well together in my opinion.

Why do Wu-Tang heads hate on Kanye? He's a damn good producer. Listen to "The College Dropout" and "BE". Taste is subjective, I know, but saying Kanye is wack is just straight hating. He's a good producer.

I would definatly fill Kanye droppin a couple beats for the Wu. Could bring us back to them "Can it all be so simple" style of beats on the tracks he does. Would be hot if HeatMakerz got down on a track or two too.

OwnageNinja
06-06-2005, 08:22 PM
I would Rather Just Blaze or Swiss on a wu track, they are harder and dirtier then Kanye will ever be.

LeRenoi
06-06-2005, 08:47 PM
fuck that , Y-KIM (aka The Illfigure) is HILL , he handles most of the production for the Royal Fam, he also produced tracks on Killa Priest's 'Heavy Mental'.

Hayabusa
06-06-2005, 08:48 PM
Heatmakers is better than all 3 of them.

I always thought that Kanyes beats would mix so well with the Wu,because it does have that Rza type of influence to it...the speed up sample, the soulful beats. ..you can tell Kanye is a Wu fan,or maybe thats just me! Anyway if it happens it wouldnt be a bad thing,But knowing Kanye hes going to have to say some type of verse over his beats NOW thats bad for Wu!

Didnt Kanye say,he would want or is....working with Ghost a while ago!?

nah man, fucka swiss beats. i cant stand that chump.. oh yeah..kanye said all of jay-z's blueprint beats, were made for GHOSTFACE, or at least he wanted ghostface to rap over them, but Jay heard them and took it for his album

i dont have a link, i remember him saying that in a magazine or something on mtv, i kno someone else had to hear him say that

06-06-2005, 11:32 PM
i wouldn't go for that i think they need to return to the more gritty and old school beats. kanye's are more happy love song beats.

Naww Kanye can stick to the mainstream like he is. Wu produced is how I roll. Even though he makes nice beats, I could careless for em

I remember that... he idolises Ghost. If Kanye produced for Ghostface I think their sound would be perfect together, but.. the rest of the clan isn't that smooth, they probably wouldn't mesh with Kanye beats.

I wouldn't mind if Kanye co-produced a track with Rza... BUt, not by himself tho... MAybe on a Ghost ALbum.. or even on OB4CL2, and maybe even a Rza album... BUt, no next WU.. SORRY KANYE!

Um kanye shit is not compatible wiht WU....kanye loves dem samples/ wu been on that esp rza for a minute now... rza should exclusively

i think kanye ruined common-be. to me, thats com sense's worst album. corners is dope, and like one other song, maybe

kanye is Ok, but what does it tell you when somebody is afraid to show their face in the city the rep? and all his beats sound the same...not that theyre bad, but they arent different either. and you know if he did a few beats for the wu he would want a featured spot...and that would just be busted..

all the beats sounded like college dropout 1.5, and 3 or 4 cuts had kaye right in the track, spittin some wack ass shit..i didnt like that shit at all.

to be fair, though, i only even played it once. you think i should give it another spin?

Dr Zayus
06-07-2005, 09:51 AM
Maybe you should. I think it's easily one of the better albums this year. The thing is though, it's very laid back, while not everyone's thing, it's also a platform for Common's lyrics. Overall, I think it's gonna be a classic eventually. The production just suits Common. Umm, you should give Real People & They Say another couple of listens, maybe the Dilla joints too. Those are my favorites.

poop one
06-07-2005, 10:04 AM
Ok, ill do that. im just about to take off to take care of some stuff, but ill leave this page open and check those joints when i get back, peace

To be frank, that's really apples and oranges right there...I feel more unfiltered samples are what Wu is used to, as opposed to shit that's just cleaned and sped up...Wu over Kanye is a nice concept, but would kinda be ruined by poor execution.

Rakim_Allah
06-07-2005, 12:39 PM
Fuck kanye, let stoupe do a beat

Genral160
06-07-2005, 01:11 PM
Kanye is hot! I liked H.o.v.a & Heart of the city Lucifier

If you ask me That diamond track is wack tho

Ghostface and M.Killah would sound good on a well picked soulful kanye beat, but the rest of the klan might struggle (Ugod struggles period) to keep in gutter.

The Rza is king - But he focus on loops anymore.

Mathmatics & Bronze need to be holding down the next Wu Lp

Only Wu realease I'd like to see a couple of Kanye beats on would be a Ghost solo. His style would't fit anyone else and certainly would not fit on a clan album.

06-07-2005, 01:49 PM
Yeah Kanye and Wu don't mix that well I think

06-08-2005, 04:22 PM
Ok, kanye doesnt *ruin* the common CD like i thought he did. my bad there. but he for sure doesnt bring anything special to it that hi-tek or any one of a dozen other producers couldnt. and he flows like shit, no one would ever, ever, ever let him flow on an album if he wasnt a producer first. ever.

PCP

Ye is no Wu style......so no.

However mans is good

06-08-2005, 06:54 PM
Kanye tried to do what No ID did for Common on Resurrection........and you know the latter is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY better....Kanye also ruin the album when he try to spit OMG HE CANNOT SPIT A DAMN RHYME TO SAVE HIS LIFE!!!!!!!!!! shit is sad, but the album is ok.......

as for producing for the wu i say HELL THE FUCK no and yes.......yes cause may bring a pop crowd to the wu and no because RZA could make a beat better than him anyday.....any wu element producer can fuck Kanye West, he's ameturish at best

BRASSKNUCKLED PAI MEI

Kanye should produce for Nelly!!! LMFAO

Decka
06-08-2005, 08:56 PM
if kanye is on the top of his game then i would like him to make beats for wu. but if it was jus a normall kanye beat then no

Microphone Fiend
06-08-2005, 11:56 PM
Masta Killa, GZA, Rebel Ins, etc. on kanye beats doesn't sound right at all.

NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO

there are so many better producers than kanye

the messiah
06-09-2005, 01:33 AM
when i think of the wu its like dirty dark alleys and hardcore staton new york feelin, and kanye is the opposite so shit wouldn't mix right.

06-10-2005, 09:16 AM
there was an interview w/Ghostface in vibe a while back that quoted Kanye saying how the beats that Kanye made for The Blueprint were originally done with Ghostface in mind....

06-10-2005, 09:17 AM
didnt Kanye say he wanted to work with Ghostface real bad??
that wouldnt sound bad at all when u think of it....

Why would you want Kanye, if you already have the GOAT producer, The RZA.

The Ghost
06-10-2005, 10:44 AM
Truthfully I can only see him producing for Ghostface and Raekwon.

MILF DOOM
06-10-2005, 09:00 PM
Ghostface would sound nice over some kanye beats especially the soul sample ones with nice drum patterns

deadlymelody
06-11-2005, 01:02 AM
If there's Kanye on the next clan album, I'll be fucking pissed. Why go out and get this guy when you have the greatest producer ever, the RZA. It's retarded.

Welshkillabee
06-11-2005, 03:58 AM
Kanye is a superb producer and versatile as well, I think it would be great if he produced for Wu-Tang solo albums. I know Ghost is one of his fave MC's.

06-11-2005, 02:00 PM
Kanye takes hip hop in the wrong direction....shit is good when its gutter, his shit is all happy, plus wu got dudes like bronze nazereth commin up with fire beats, bronze made 2 of the illest beats on RZA's last solo album

Vegan

I want RZA to produce the entire next album.

I have no problem with Kanye producing a couple of tracks on a Wu Project. As long as the beats are grimey / soulful. You can't front on Kanye as a producer. You could as a rapper though.

But you have to admit, Kanye (with the right beat) could make for an interesting song with the Wu flavour added on it.

I do object to The Neptunes being affiliated with any other Wu Project. If you're looking for "happy hip hop" that's it.

A track or two sure. I like Wu-tang on the grittier side more than the soulful though.
As much as I hate his rapping, I think Necrocould put the Wu on some time shit production wise. Like that beat on OB4CL2
