what ya think?

For me it's the Documentary easily, NoSaidDate ain't far ( School for example is great ),....

Iunno man... It's hard. Been Doom albums, and I really like Ant's production for Brother Ali/Atmosphere.

Then you've got shit like Jedi Mind Tricks (Can't remember what album came out when, but they'd have like 2-3 albums in that time). AOTP which had good beats.

There'd be a few albums, cant remember them all, just throwin up names, make the call on which is best later.

I might honestly say The Great Migration.

Kind of hard to pick one out of the last 5 years tho. The production on The Documentary was great too

odd question:

"Sean Price - Mokey Bars" came out in the last 5 years right? so that up there for me.

"One.Be.Lo - S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M." also.

Oh No - Exodus Into Unheard Rhythms

The Streets - Original Pirate Material

Wordsworth - Mirror Music

not sure of the exact release date of these, but im pretty sure they all came out post 2000 at least.

Er.... I don't think that came out in the last five years!

If you count Madvillain (Madlib and Doom had albums before, but not together) then that wins hands down for me.

Otherwise I'd go with maybe Mr.Lif - I Phantom

I really liked the production on Dangerdoom, really liked that album actually, but Aqua Teen Hunger Force is my shit.

St Elsewhere I HATED though.. thats just me, can see how people would like it.

For me it's a tie between MF DOOM and JMT

Jedi Mind Tricks first album 'The Psycho-Social, Chemical, Biological & Electro-Magnetic Manipulation Of Human Consciousness' came out 10 years ago.

MF Doom's 'Operation: Doomsday' came out 8 years ago.

what significance does the best produced album of the last 5 years have?

I posted that before I realised it was about debut albums, I just couldn't bothered to change it. Also I thought JMT's first album was weak production wise.....I was reffering to their last two albums.

Yeah, JMT really got the ball rolling with Violent By Design. That's still their best album in my opinion.

yeah my bad.

is madvilliany really a debut, because its not dooms first album, or madlibs. but i guess it is the "groups" debut...

another album that occured to me was

Blueprint - 1988

i know this came out post 2000, but im not entirely sure of the release date.

anyway, quality album and he did all the production on it.

Not just because it's Holocaust but I thought that

Blue Sky Black Death Presents:The Holocaust - was unbelivable on the beat side of things especially:

Twilight Zone
What Can The Matter Be
God Be With You
No Image
The Ocean
Sinister
Smoking Room
The Worst
Wing To Wing Father
Crash

This abum is very different and Blue Sky Black Death are gifted with the beats
It is also quite recent so, apart from that:

Legacy Of Blood
Servants In Heaven Kings In Hell
The Art Of Dying
Syzemology
The Torture Papers
Circle Of Tyrants
World War II - Evolution Of The Torturer
