I found this game about 2 years ago when I was bored struggling with my usual insomnia. It's free to download, with a registry option which provides more features but its not really necessary.
The game is a 2D fast action shooter, almost like a FPS only 2D. The aiming system is somewhat like a real time Worms game, you aim a reticule across the map, and when you fire your bullets trajectory will be affected by your angle and the type of gun it is. It sounds difficult and it is, but once you get used to it you perform crazy manouvers.
All in all it's a very simple game to learn, and a very difficult one to master. It can keep you occupied for hours on end with just the stock game modes, but when you're tired of those there is tons of modifications.
