DESPITE what people think Dipset isn't a talentless crew. I'm sure a lot of people here will argue with me on that. Anyway I was curious to ask about your favorite Dipset releases after bumping that new 40 Cal again today. That album is HOT! Can't wait for that Hell Rell. Diplomatic Immunity Vol 1 and 2 were both hot in my opinion. As I said that new 40 Cal album is a banger and all of Cams have been pretty good(didn't really hear Killa Season that well). Jim Jones first two albums were nice havn't heard after that and both of Santanas were cool. Also I was feeling JR Writers album. I made a 4 cd set a long time ago of my favorite Dipset tracks(I believe it was right after the release of Jim Jones first album) and I can just bump those straight through and enjoy listening to them they are straight heat! I'm sure a lot of you hate Dipset but you gotta admit JR Writer, Hell Rell, and 40 Cal aren't all that bad and Cam used to be a beast on the mic.

If anyone hates JR Writer or .40 Cal, they should give this track a chance...

And about Cam'ron his last album, Killa Season actually had good tracks... to me this was his last good song here...

Diplomatic Immunity was the set off of it. Alot of people on this board wont remember because they are stuck in the early 90s and/or they're so pressed on their favorite rapper with a myspace page they're scared of rappers that actually have contracts and distribution deals.
So I'd say my favorites to date are...
Diplomatic Immunity - Diplomats
Come Home With Me - Cam
Purple Haze - Cam
What The Game Been Missing - Santana
Best of Dipset mixtape
City of God - Jim Jones
Harlem: Diary of a Summer - Jim Jones
Writer's Block 2 - JR Writer
New Gun In Town - Hell Rell
Their newest mixtape = http://www.datpiff.com/The-Diplomats-Tha-Infamous-Heatholder-Dunndeal-Mo-mid7110.html

Dipset has NO TALENT.......especially that little snotty 20 year old brat Juelz Santana....dude has no skillz on the mic and he tryin to act all hard and shit.....him and Cam be saying the same lines and words twice and it just sounds corny.....Jim Jones has no skillz either....
How are you all gonna tell me these cats in Dipset are better than REAL lyricists like NAS, Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Rakim Saigon, Canibus, Wu-Tang...etc....
There's no comparison.....

no one is saying they are better than any of the artists you listed and they must have some talent cause they sell records
also i agree that juelz and jim jones suck but to be clear they are not dipset, they are diplomats. dipset is 40 cal, hell rell, writer, and some other dudes whose names escape me at this time
I like and own Cam's first 3 albums, didn't hear the rest I believe.
Also I ocasionally listen to some Juelz mixtapes, I like his flow.
Jim Jones' album ''hustler's P.O.M.E.'' had a few good tracks.

Check out Cam's 4th album "Purple Haze" when you get a chance. Some nice tracks on it
For some reason it's expensive here, over 20 euro's.
I'll check it out sometime though.

To be honest I'll listen to Nas or Wu before alot of Dipset shit. It depends what mood I'm in.
I never said they were better than anyone you named. But whats wrong with diversifying your hip-hop listening catalouge. Okay, plenty of rappers aren't as tight as Nas... so what're you sayin I shouldn't listen to no one but Nas??? Naw man thats crazy.
Thing about Dipset is their rhymes are satire...
Meaning when you listen to Juelz or Cam of course you not suppose to take em seriously, they say shit thats meant to reflect reality and be serious and yet at the same time make you laugh.
Example:
Santana:
"Unload the clip, clip
Watch my favorite color drip, drip
Don't slip, slip
Juelz, dip, dip"
Now you see in this verse hes talkin about shooting someone but does it in a comedic syntax. Same as this verse...
Santana:
"Now everybody in this bitch strip naked
Cause every dollar in this bitch, we're taking
They'll never hear you holla in this big thick basement"
That was to the melody of "Tipsy".
Man, what you're saying is the exact reason alot of people don't listen to Wu. Cause they say they don't understand Wu and/or they talk about the same shit. But its whatever.
