I was wondering if anybody else here ever gets those blue screen types of error messages when at the forum here? I've been getting those messages more often here lately. Also at some other sites such as my space. It gets pretty annoying cause I usually have to restart the computer, or shut it down quick, to get things working properly again. Do you know what may be causing me to get so many blue screen errors?

Could it have something to do with having Windows ME? lol Some people have said in the past that ME could stand for 'Many Errors'.

Generally the blue screen on O/S later than win98, get these error screens due to memory related problems. It just depends on what the message says...

But that's not saying 100% of these problems come from that.

Your web browser could be the issue. It could be anything from an activeX control or a installed search/addon --crap!!

Or you just may be running multiple programs at once and something has a missing or corrupt .dll file

Please back up your data and do a clean install of anything besides Windows ME. Im not even gonna get started on how ridiculous the ME version is..

What OS are you using?

What are some other symtoms, is the blue screen your only problem?

What does the error message say?

Where is the PC sitting?

What is the enviroment? Is it damp like a basement?

Are there any electrical appliances sitting near your PC?

Do your share the wall jack for your PC with other appliences?

Has there been a power outage lateley?

Have you installed any new hardware or software lately?

Have you ran a virus scan?

Have you changed any settings for your PC, for example in the registry?
