It would be peaceful.

Think about it.

Hip Hop stemmed from poverty.

If people were in harmony.

There would be no poverty.

Therefore, Hip-hop as we know it would not exist in it's current form.

There was a time before hip hop. There were cultures better than hip hop, that had no reason to make music about gun play.

Hip Hop is the result of dominance over another man's culture due to oppression.

That's the way I see it.

Hip Hop is a money making industry. Sure you don't need money to enjoy the hip hop culture. But if you want to enjoy the fruits of the culture- you need to spend money.

I love hip hop as much as the next person, don't get me into a position I can't defend. I'm just saying the culture needs to evolve.

HEY !

it all boils down to where you are getting your Hip Hop from
and how much of it do you really know
don't depend on the music Hip Hop heads give you to show you the state of Hip Hop culture
Hip Hop culture continues to rise and get better despite what "the industry" tries to make it look like

my solution to hip hop's current state of fuckery, is to let it go. fuck what we call hip hop today. lets just start a new culture. sunny, you and i are old enough to remember a time before hip hop and rap music. i say we just start from scratch. let the other man run it into the ground, then we rise from the ashes.

Hip Hop is so wide though - it uses any and everything everywhere and is unlimited in expression - Hip Hop takes the best part for itself - so i can't see anyother expression being bigger than it - what hasn't been done yet ?

if we do make a new culture and sound, where do we start ?

EAGLE EYE

First you start by sacrificing Gucci Mane for corn harvest. Then you create instruments with new sounds or take something which was never intended to be used in a certain way and experiment.

Hip Hop already does this

EAGLE EYE

Not as of lately.

Also I can't recall Hip Hop culture ever creating a traditional instrument. Please correct me if I'm wrong though.

LORD NOSE
07-12-2009, 08:56 PM
taking what already exist and using it to make sound

the scratch and cut are sounds added to a musical piece like an instrument

taking some metal and wood and creating an instrument in a form that hasn't been seen or used isn't necessary

EAGLE EYE
07-12-2009, 09:09 PM
Creating new instruments out of wood, metal, carbon fiber, etc wouldn't hurt though.

well, rap music has made black want to stay in the ghetto as opposed to getting jobs and bettering themselves.

They made it cool to kill other blacks and sell drugs to blacks.

Allot of our favorite rappers tell stories like no other genre, when we hear a good story telling song we usually get into the story and ingore everything around us, in a world without hiphop we would probaly seek for something similar in other media, like books for example.
