The rapper’s camp revealed to MTV yesterday (November 26) that the album will now hit stores in February. The first single from the set to drop in January.

Nas’ camp also divulged that the rapper has collaborated with producers DJ Toomp and Salaam Remi, and will be working with Sean “Diddy” Combs and The Hitmen in the coming week.

The album’s title has been met with resistance from civil rights activists including Jesse Jackson and Reverend Al Sharpton, who have harshly criticized the rapper.

Last month, a New York Assemblyman called on Universal Music Group, Def Jam’s parent company, to change the album’s title or lose $84 million that the New York State Pension Fund has invested in the company.

Despite the furor, Def Jam is standing behind Nas and will not be stopping the album’s release.
