Do you think that a Hip-Hop classic like Illmatic or Enter The 36 Chambers can be considered as classic as Led Zepplin's "Physical Graffiti" or Pink Floyd's "Dark Side Of The Moon"? We always talk about how great these hip-hop classics are but will they ever be as respected as classics in other geners.

They hold weight like they do. The only thing for like the rolling stones top 500 albums or whatever is too many beatles and elvis albums are ranked high up in the top 20 when other classics can top them.

I guess too many rock albums up on "the lists" with a touch of jazz.

I guess more today than 10 years ago the classic hip-hop albums are more respected.

There seems to be more classic hip-hop albums respected than the classic reggae albums.

the whiteman being the majority consumer of all forms of entertainment doesnt care for hiphop that much and will never put a hiphop classic over or next to classics from its beloved rock n' roll and country.

Its annoying the way hip hop is not recognised for its culture, the whiteman being the majority consumer that you speak of dosnt get a taste of real hip hop. Thier image of hip hop is de dre or snoop dancing on stage getting funkadelic rapping bout blondes,40's&bitches.

Give Those Albums Another Ten Years Theyll Peak In Top 20....You Gotta Understand That Those Older Albums Have Decades of Classick Sound Behind Them
