you're missing The Clipse's Hell Hath No Fury

nah, i just think that Blueprint is an average album.

Jay Z doesnt make it on TV where i live anyway... so im not sure what your point would be... and only 'alternative' radio stations play his music really...

most of the albums on the list are classics, but a lot of them arent very good. (but Blueprint is not a classic AND is not very good)

because the writers of the Source aren't 19 year old white college kids that never listened to hip hop before 1998 and then thought they were all special cause they liked Moment of Truth....it ain't even the best Gang Starr album...unless of course you fit the above description

It's so unbelievable that they never reviewed All Eyez On Me when it was released.

Heh.

So what am I then? I'm an 18 year old white college kid that never listened to hip-hop before 1998 (actually I'm lying, I remember for example "Check Yo Self", "Gangsta's Paradise", "California Love" and "Mo Money Mo Problems" as favorite songs of my childhood, but i started following it after The W), but I think that Hard to Earn is best Gang Starr album?

Plus I think Source was sometimes taking sides, was sometimes ungratefully slow, was sometimes giving some albums too high reviews, but it was for a damn long time the only magazine that really could serve as a fucking Source of reliable hip-hop information (that is, til Eminem beef).

Now it could substitute NY Post in PE's song.

with that statement, no bullshit, you are smarter than 99% of the so-called hip hop heads that i know. and i know you can't judge intelligence on an opinion of an album, but just the fact that someone your age actually even knows what Hard to Earn is, let alone would place it above the "holier-than-thou" Moment of Truth is proof that hip hop is still alive

you're right, no time for a solid premier album in a year when he dropped 3 certified classics, you're completely right. no time at all for a legendary gang starr album that had such brilliant guest appearances as Nice and Smooth, and of course the "I'm the Man" crew. yeah, fuck that album, it's a throwaway. fuck premier too, he sucks

you're missing The Clipse's Hell Hath No Fury

It was XXL that gave Hell Hath No Fury 5 mics, not the source. also many of those albums were originally given ratings like 4.5 and a couple of years later source threw a re-issue which changed em to top-ratings, examples are; Mobb Deep - Infamous, Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt, Raekwon - Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Wu-Tang Clan - Enter The Wu-Tang and Biggie Smalls - Ready To Die ...
