Yesterday dropped the American Gangster remix album "Alpha Gangster" by Alpha-Bet. With a few exceptions I was disappointed in nearly every beat presented here. The skits between the remixed versions are kinda trying to extend the concept album feeling to a greater extent. This idea fails.

Best Tracks

Fallin'
From the piano during the singing to the bassline this beat creates an interesting atmosphere especially with the strings in the back. The lyrics get carried much better. This beat is def the jewel on here and makes this Fallin' version immediately enter my Top10 of 2007.

Roc Boys (And The Winner Is)
Trumpets Original Version > trumpets this version, but still this is pretty good.

Success
I had mixed feelings about the guitar in the back, but after listening to 8D I became more tolerant with that shit. Nas sounds awesome on this beat.

Blue Magic
It's hard to make an even better beat than the synthesizers-storm Pharrell put on the table. Whatever, this is kinda funny, especially the oriental guitar and the experimental beat. This is a 50/50.
