do you think he would allow all these mainstream cats (Souljah Boy, Rich Boy, Fag Boy, Lil Wayne, Lil Boosie, Lil Nutsack) to make it? Or do you think he would have bodied them all right out the gate?

haha, i personally think pac's career was about 1 year from being over as it was, but still, i'm assuming that he not only didn't get shot for pretending to be a thug, but that he was also still in music 10 years after he dropped a clas.......oh wait, he ain't drop no classics, i forgot. why do people love him again? oh yeah cause he got killed, not cause he got talent, like 50 getting shot 9 times, controversy sells, not talent

Okay, there's too many WHAT IF's in that story.

FIRST WHAT IF:
What would Pac do after completing Death Row deal? It's a trickier question than it seems: if he ran to No Limit I doubt he'd look as quality as on Row, and if he started Makaveli label he'd lost street cred and become capitalist.

SECOND WHAT IF:
When would he squash beef with all those people he was beefing at the time? Biggie, Puffy, Mobb, Jay-Z, (Nas was squashed before murder), Fugees, Da Brat...

THIRD WHAT IF:
Would people get sick of his thuggin' music? Again connected with losing street cred, 'cause if he kept it same he'd lose audience, and if he softened he'd lose cred and ability to successfully beef rappers.

FOURTH WHAT IF:
Would he beef wit 'em or sign 'em on Makaveli records?

2pac beefed with "real" muhfuckaz like biggie & puffy combs cause THEY TRIED TO FUCKING KILL HIM!!! biggie set his ass up and he got shot 4 times. so, yeah, you tend not to like muh fuckaz who get you shot.

2pac was talented, he got much love in the hood BEFORE he ever got killed. true fact. most of these pop suburban kids loved him after he got killed.

honestly, pac was a talented actor (witch is something he went to school for) so if he had lived, i do see him going into that direction. maybe even winning some awards for his acting if he got the right parts.

2Pac would still be alive if he wasn't ignorant and always running his damn mouth. He's the one who started that stupid ass beef between him and The Notorious Big and then the rap magazines hyped up the shit talking about a eastcoast westcoast beef trying to make it seem like every rapper from the east and west hated each other when 2Pac was the only one who hated The Notorious Big and Puff Daddy because he thought they set him up to be robbed and shot. I'm a fan of 2Pac but the dude was ignorant and he really became even more ignorant when he got with Death Row records.

If Pac was still alive, he'd probably keep making songs with dope-ass lyrics but would lose popularity with the mainstream, as hip-hop is a young man's game.

Next, a bunch of deuchebag computer nerds would create a forum devoted to him and use it strictly to talk amongst themselves about how he fell off.

pac doesn't have a single album you can listen to from start to finish. most people that call pac or biggie the best rappers never listened to anything other than pac or biggie. pacs voice gets annoying and biggy was two albums away from making pop songs. nothing about these 2 would have been relevant in todays rap world. if wu-tang is washed up to the world today so would biggie and tupac. if wu-tang died in a plane crash after forever dropped they would sell more after death records now then they sell new shit. they would be "real" gods. then again probably some idiot would get nelly and eminem to be on their albums.

me against the world is a hip hop classic. Lord Knows is one of the best songs ever. Don't deny the lyrical skills there. and how about this:

"If I Die 2Nite"

A coward dies a thousand deaths
A soldier dies but once

[Verse One]
They say pussy and paper is poetry power and pistols
Plottin on murderin motherfuckers 'fore they get you
Picturin pitiful punk niggaz coppin pleas
Puffin weed as I position myself to clock G's
My enemies scatter in suicidal situations
Never to witness the wicked shit that they was facin
Pockets is packed with presidents, pursue your riches
Evadin the playa hatin tricks, while hittin switches
Bitches is bad-mouth, cause brawlin motherfuckers is bold
But y'all some hoes, the game should be sewed
I'm sick of psychotic society somebody save me
Addicted to drama so even mama couldn't raise me
Even the preacher and all my teachers couldn't reach me
I run in the streets and puffin weed wit my peeps
I'm duckin the cop, I hit the weed as I'm clutchin my glock
Niggaz is hot when I hit the block, what if I die tonight

[Chorus]
If I die tonight [repeat 3X]
"Tonight's the night I get in some shit" - [Dr. Dre]

[Verse Two]
Polishin pistols prepare for battle pass the pump
When I get to poppin niggaz is droppin then they done
Callin the coroner come collect the fuckin corpse
He got it by killer, preoccuppied with bein boss
Revenge is the method, whenever steppin keep a weapon close
Adversaries are overdosed over deadly notes
Jealous niggaz and broke bitches equal packed jails
Hit the block and fill your pockets makin crack sales
Picture perfection pursuin paper with a passion
Visions of prisons for all the pussies that I blasted
Runnin with criminals individuals with no remorse
Try to stop me my pistol posse's usin deadly force
In my brain all I can think about is fame
The police know my name, a different game, ain't a thing changed
I'm seein cemetary photos of my peers
Conversatin like they still here, if I die tonight

[Chorus]

[Verse Three]
Pussy and paper is poetry power and pistols
Plottin on murderin motherfuckers 'fore they get you
Pray to the heavens three-fifty-sevens to the sky
And I hope I'm forgiven for Thug Livin when I die
I wonder if heaven got a ghetto for Thug niggaz
A stress free life and a spot for drug dealers
Pissin while practicin how to pimp and be a playa
Overdose of a dick, while drinkin liquor when I lay her
Pistol whippin these simps, for bein petrified and lame
Disrespectin the game, prayin for punishment and pain
Goin insane, never die, live eternal, who shall I fear?
Don't shed a tear for me nigga I ain't happy hear
I hope they bury me and send me to my rest
Headlines readin MURDERED TO DEATH, my last breath
Take a look picture a crook on his last stand
Motherfuckers don't understand, if I die tonight

[Chorus]

No talent? fukk outta here

how about this

Can't close my eyes cause all I see is terror
I hate the man in the mirror
Cause his reflection makes the pain turn realer
Times of Armageddeon, murder in mass amounts
In this society where only gettin the cash counts
I started out as a beginner
Entered the criminal lifestyle became a sinner
I make my money and vacate, evade prison
Went from the chosen one to outcast, unforgiven
And all the Hennessy and weed can't hide, the pain I feel inside
You know, it's like I'm livin just to die
I fall on my knees and beg for mercy, not knowin if I'm worthy
Livin life thinkin no man can hurt me
So I'm askin -- before I lay me down to sleep
Before you judge me, look at all the shit you did to me, my misery
I rose up from the slums, made it out the flames
In my search for fame will I change? I'm askin

^one of the best verses ever...Pac had an ability to get really deep in his songs, put emotion behind them like no other. Technically speaking his flow is great (not the level of Method Man, but still great) and his delivery is one of the greatest ever.

How about this?

[This Week in Bible Prophecy]
God has a plan -- and the bible unfolds that wonderful plan
through the message of prophecy
God sent Jesus into this world to be our saviour
And that Christ is returning, someday soon
to unfold the wonderful plan of eternity, for my life and yourlife
As long as we're cooperating with God
by accepting Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and saviour
And as the Lord does return in the coming seven days
We'll see you next time here on This Week in Bible Prophecy

[Tupac]
Tupac don't start that blasphemy in here!
Makaveli, the new breed -- and I remember what my pops told me
The new word, follow me -- remember what my pops told me

My family tree, consists of drug dealers, thugs and killers
Strugglin, known to hustle screamin fuck they feelings
I got advice from my father, all he told me was this
Niggaz, get off your ass if you plan to be rich
There's ten rules to the game, but I'll share with you two
Know, niggaz gon' hate you for whatever you do
Now rule one -- get your cash on, M.O.B.
That's Money Over Bitches, cause they breed envy
Now rule two is a hard one, watch for phonies
Keep yo', enemies close nigga, watch yo' homies
It seemed a little unimportant, when he told me I smiled
Picture jewels being handed, to an innocent child
I never knew in my lifetime I'd live by these rules
Initiated as an outlaw, studying rules
Now papa ain't around, so I gotta recall
or come to grips with bein on my enemy's wall (rest in peace)
Promised if I have a seed, I'ma guide him right
Dear Lord don't let me die tonite
I got words for my comrades, listen and learn
Ain't nuttin free, give back what you earn, no doubt
Gettin higher than a motherfucker, blessed and pleased
This Thug Life'll be the death of me, c'mon, yeah

And I remember what my papa told me
Remember what my papa told me, blasphemy

Chorus: Prince Ital

Love for dem dat steal in the name of da Lord
Dem a tell nuff lie but holdin my bird in a cloud
Usin de name of de Lord in vein
While de people in de ghetto, feel nuff pain

[Tupac]
We probably in Hell already, our dumb asses not knowin
Everybody kissin ass to go to heaven ain't goin
Put my soul on it, I'm fightin devil niggaz daily
Plus the media be crucifying brothers severly
Tell me I ain't God's son, nigga mom a virgin
We got addicted had to leave the burbs, back in the ghetto
doin wild shit, lookin at the sun don't pay
Criminal mind all the time, wait for Judgment Day
They say Moses split the Red Sea
I split the blunt and rolled the fat one, I'm deadly -- Babylonbeware
Comin from the Pharoahe's kids, retaliation
Makin legends off the shit we did, still bullshittin
Niggaz in Jerusalem, waitin for signs
God promised, she's just takin her time, haha
Living by the Nile while the water flows
I'm contemplating plots wondering which door to go
Brothas getting shot, comin back resurrected
It's just that raw shit, nigga check it (that raw shit)

And I remember what my papa told me
Remember what my papa told me, blasphemy

Chorus

[Tupac]
The preacher want me buried why? Cause I know he a liar
Have you ever seen a crackhead, that's eternal fire
Why you got these kids minds, thinkin that they evil
while the preacher bein richer you say honor God's people
Should we cry, when the Pope die, my request
We should cry if they cried when we buried Malcolm X
Mama tell me am I wrong, is God just another cop
waitin to beat my ass if I don't go pop?
Memories of a past time, givin up cash
to the leaders, knowin damn well, it ain't gonna feed us
In my brain how can you explain, time in D.C.
It's hard enough to live now, in these times of greed
They say Jesus is a kind man, well he should understand
times in this crime man, my Thug nation
Do whatchu gotta do but know you gotta change
Try to find a way to make it out the game
I leave this and hope God can see my heart is pure
Is heaven just another door? I leave this here
I leave this and hope God see my heart is pure
Is heaven just another door? And my people say

Chorus 4X

Our father, who art in heaven
Hallow be thy name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done
In earth, as it is in heaven
Give us this day, our daily bread
As we give up our debts
As we forgive our debt-ors
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us, unevil
For God, is the kingdom, and the power
and the glory forever, and ever, and ever

exactly what poisonous said. Saying Pac has no talent is so wrong and naive. Not everybody will enjoy his music the way i do or others do, but you can't say he has no talent. I know music is purely subjective, but it is obvious that Tupac was an extremely talented individual whether u like him or not. Ya'll just like to argue and go against the grain.

exactly what i was thinking when i read this topic subject.
i think he would have spent more of his time on movies.
even writting and producing films.

films like Gridlock'd would have open doors for him,.
no more of this type cast gangsta roles.

Good album but not good enough for me to listen to all the way through.

Anyhoo, if he was still alive, Biggie would be still alive and 2pac would've probably left Suge on bad terms seeing as how Suge screwed him out of a lot of money. I wouldn't even be suprised if he ended up signing to Bad Boy and Diddy wouldn't be as big of the "take all the artists money" snake as he is now.

I doubt he'd have done duets with all the people he's been stuck with since his death. In the same way I doubt Biggie would have had anything to do with any of the shit on Duets.

I can see it now - "You want me to do a track with that faggot Elton John?!?!?!".
