"I can't understand what the fuck he is saying"

what does't thou think of this crossover "nerd" artist...i think he's dope, the way that he speaks and raps is the equivenlent in my mind to REAL poetry (none of this "Cannibus" bragging and elevating oneself to the status of diety... which i will admit rap can do lol) anyway he's had a great influence on me and my own music...how about you lol...reply accordingly...

I was a lifetime fan after I heard "Daylight" for the first time. I voted "dope".

My nigga down here put me on to this cat Aesoap. I call that shit Alternative Hip Hop and it ain't really my flavor.... It's not bad, It's jus not my flavor.

Dood got lyrics, but I can't deal wit his flow or his voice. But out of all the Alternative Hip Hop I've heard (underground), I think he'll do good.

But on sum real shit - I take his bombinn skills over his rap any day Have you seen what this nigga can do wit paint? Jeezus. And the videos are bannanas.

Should've voted "Can't understand him" cause a lot of the time he really doesn't make sense, but he's still dope

01-17-2008, 11:56 AM
His latest album is okay but he just ain't my style of hip hop.

01-17-2008, 12:11 PM
them def jux cats sound the same. Aesop , el-p , cage , vast aire. They all got the same flow. I got some def jux albums though. I like variety.

I'm voting cant understand what he sayin though cuz sometimes them mf's slur they words with that flow and Aesop is one of them.

01-17-2008, 12:16 PM
Aesop sounds nadda like Cage and El-P bro.. sure you listened to the right thing?

They have the same "we're extremely white" style hip-hop, but they don't sound the same. El-P does production for pretty much all their albums though.

01-17-2008, 12:25 PM
yeah methods , I know what I'm saying. I got el-p's I'll sleep when ur dead and I got 2 or 3 Cage albums. I never bought Aesop Rock's shit cuz First off I thought it was sub par compared to the latter and also , it just sounded too much like the latter.

Now , if you got something like......1 lemon-lime drink that does the trick (sprite) and maybe a back-up (7-up)......what the hell is Sierra Mist (aesop rock) even doing???

01-17-2008, 01:54 PM
^^how do you feel about del? he recently signed with def jux and is gonna have an album released on da label? If you remember tha Think Differently project Del and Aesop had a track together called Preservation... shit was hot... definitely expectin more heat from dem..

Really dope mc.

Labor Days is one of my favourite modern hip-hop albums.

For any fans from London, he's playing Cargo on 30th January with Rob Sonic.
