best thing about it was the paying system. fucking revolutionary and legendary. herd most the album on the radio and i'd say - not realy. opinions - opinions.

So far what I have heard, I wouldnt put it up there, but Radiohead takes time to grow on you sometimes. The first time I heard Kid A i was like..eh....but it became my favorite.
Illmatic was a similar experience. They are subtle albums with alot going on, and what makes them classics is you can listen to them forever.

I still think 'The Bends' is their best album. I have to give 'In Rainbows' some more listens though. I wasn't feeling Pablo Honey much, except for that Creep song. Also, 'Amnesiac' was a let down.

^--I really didnt like Pablo Honey...but someone told me to give it a shot, and alot of people seem to like it. So maybe I'm expecting something else.

Amnesiac....there were songs I loved and some i didnt care for.

Bends, OK Computer, Kid A, are there best.

Second tier Hail to the Thief, Amnesiac, In Rainbows

Jury's out for me on Pablo HOney...ill have to relisten. I cant stand Creep anymore they overplay it on the radio still to this day. Of all the fuckin radiohead songs, they play this one more than any.

Did you's like Thom Yorke's solo album? Have you ever heard that song that Thom Yorke did with Bjork some years back? I think it was on the soundtrack to that movie Bjork was in(Dancer in the Dark?).

I was in the studio when Thom Yorke was recorded for part of a pilot episode for a new UK music tv programme similar to Later With Jools Holland (that never got picked up). I got to stand with about five other people and watch Thom sing/play the piano from about 10 feet away.

When he finished, we turned round and watched the White Stripes perform a track too.

All in a days work!

Kid A is at the top of my list. IMO, no other album of that time captured the spirit of the turn of the century like Kid A. and it was the most innovative shit out in the full swing of bling bling and a rock scene that was on life support.

Kid A was very important.

now In Rainbows.....
seemed like a "best of" unreleased material. you can hear flavors from all their previous work. not that its a bad thing....
fav songs...

weird fishes-u listen to the bassline on this track??! dope! the climax of this song is crazy.

All I Need-a perfect blend of their digital and accoustic styles. the piano and that buzzbass make a powerful backbone to this cut. then when the drums come in @ around 3:00mins......whooooo!

Down is the New Up- I always like when Rh gets all preachy. they have a way of thumbing their nose at society without seeming like asses. plus the melody thom comes with is....muah. "ladies and gentlemen without a saftey net, i will now perform a 180 flip flop" that shit makes me chuckle.
