Anyone else done this? I might be slow but just started fucking with torrents. D/L'ing a series of Entourage and went to turn on my PS3.

In the "video" section theres now a folder called Azureus where all my torrent files go directly to once they've finished downloading so I can just watch them from there. Didn't even have to set the thing up, just showed up one day.

America.. Fuck yeah!

What are you talking about? Downloading torrents directly on the playstaion 3?

or

Fucking with the media servers on the PS3. That shit don't work for me, it keeps disconnecting me. But....

My Playstation3 is officially known as PORNstation3 because of all the porn I downloaded at work and took home on the Jump drive. HA HA!

I didn't do anything man. I just started downloading a torrent on my computer, then was fucking with my PS3 and came to the Video menu, scrolled down and there was an Azureus icon on there. Clicked it and it said "no files".

But when I finish downloading this torrent, the motherfucker is gonna go straight onto the PS3 and store so I don't even have to burn to disk or keep on my computer. Beautiful.

It's the media server option. When I have it turned on, I get disconnected. Has something to do with my router set up and permissions on my computer.........

I'll tell you what Wii and PS3 have since that's what I own.

The Wii has a library with a ton of old school games from the NES dayz to the Nintendo 64 days. This includes Sega Genesis and Master Systems, and turbo graphix 16. Every other month they add a few more games to the library. It comes with a weather channel and a news channel that you browse by region by clicking on an area of the globe. It's equipped wi-fi out of the box and is easy to configure. There's message feature you can communicate with friends, share pictures and high scores on, and a channel you can use to share Mii's(which are little characters you make and use for different games.) There's a browser channel where you can log into wu-corp and read my posts on the big screen in your living room. The machine is backwards compaible with gamecube. The Wii doesn't support true HD.

PS3 also has a library of old school games ranging back to PS1 days. They can be downloaded to your console, or your PSP. The PS3 has media server funtionality where you can view the music and movies files via internet connection. Also, if you have a PSP you can access your PS3 files at home when your out and about anywhere you have a wireless connection.

Depending on which version of the system you buy, the PS3 is backwards compatible with PS2 and PS1 discs, and comes wifi out of the box.

There is also a internet browser.

PS3 supports Xvid, DivX as well as other video formats so you can have a place to Watch all your downloaded PORN, instead of getting your keyboard all sticky. Actually, I downloaded Fist of the North Star the other day, and it plays sweet on my 52 inch LCD. PS3 can be hooked up to a printer. PS3 supports Blue Ray DVD, which is crystal clear picture.

PS3 can also support a fully functional Linux Operating system. You can boot into linux and run it just like an ordinary PC.

There should be someone here that can tell you what Xbox has. The way things are going now it looks like going to be between XBOX and Wii, but we'll see.

Games......

Xbox has XBOX live.

it really boils down to what you want to play. Turok and Unrealtournament play nice with almost no lag, but then again, I think XBOX has more functionality in terms of chatting while playing.

thanx for the info mr capalini.

i see why u have both when you throw in the old system games. i always rolled with nintendo up until ps2. it always seemed like nintendo would have the greatest game ever or would drop an innovative feature. but i have a game cube and a ps1 &2.

idk man. i like the unreal so much. and online sports play might turn me into a serious recluse. who knows.

Dusk aren't you a black kid that rocks the goatee? And your calling me Buffalo-Face?

You have to set it up on your computer. The media server option works with Windows Media Player 11. If you haven't done it yet update your media player, and make sure you PS3 has the latest update.

Next go into your media player TOOLS>OPTIONS>LIBRARY, click the configure sharing button. Allow sharing by clicking the box and hit ok. A icon for an unkown device should show up. This your PS3. Allow it to access your files, I'm sure you can figure out the rest. If doesn't show up maybe you need to turn on the enable media servers in your ps3's internet connections.

I couldn't get mine to work, I think because of my router. I've read on the net other people with same router are having the same problem.
