i got a fraction 3/2 I wanna subtract it by ( -1 ) why is my answer = 1/2












/ = means division

3/2 means 1.5. so when u subtract it by 1 u get 0.5 hence 1/2.

my answer in the book says


1/2 is the answer


it told me u have 3/2 u subtract -1 , and ur answer is 1/2 . Im just trying to understand it ,

1.5 - 1 = 0.5

1.5 - (-1) = 1.5 + 1 = 2.5
