with Miller, its vert tough because he is talented in both crafts...almost equally so idk....but there are works of his where he writes and draws...(Sin City, Dark Knight..etc..)

so, whats the verdict????

I'm A Say Both but if had 2 choose i'd better writer cuz he's a great story teller Dark Knight Returns and his Robocop story that they were gonna use for the sequel but never did was amazing

Well, he's class at both, but if he had to give up writing or drawing, I'd say drawing cos there seems to be more great artists than wirters.

At some point i'm gonna have the spare cash to justify buying the Miller/Janson Daredevil Omnibus and omnibus companion.

I agree, better writer imo - His shit illustrated by Sienkievitcz is off da chain :) the miller/janson age was also very good!

yeah i think it a draw. his daredevil run back in the day was excellent.

im not really feeling the writing on "all star batman and robin" too much though. it just dont seem like millers puttin his all into it. jim lee's art saves the book.

I never read All star Batman & Robin, but I've heard so many bad things. It seems he was going for something controversial.

Dark Knight Returns & Year One are both flawless though.

I agree, but I think in part because it followed something so classic. Raekwon should take note.

Miller Daredevil run was the end all to beat all I remember copping those when I was younger and I did not even like DD at the time but hit art was sick.

also I really never got into DC but that Dark Knight series he did was just amamzing it is a draw for me he is equally good on both fronts

I think he is easily a better writer than artist.

No one is saying Miller is a weak artist, it's just that there are much better comic book artists out there. But as a writer Miller ranks top of his field.

agreed, but as a writer/artist..he is even higher in the ranks.

Can't argue with that.

Miller's artwork has gotten progressively more minimal and grungy---see the later Sin City novels, Dark Knight Strikes Again and his All Star Batman covers---I prefer when he works with other artists, Elektra Assassin, Big Guy and Rusty the Robot, Martha Washington, Batman Year One and All Star Batman would be far less appealing if he drew them.

He's my favorite artist. He works best as a writer/artist.
