i can't load shit on anymore, it says i have to get a new version first or update or something and that will erase everything i have on it?

how do i avoid this gayity? is there a way to upgrade and keep my songs or what?

it updates the firmware inside the ipod, if memory serves me right it doesn't delete your music

I won't upgrade my software.. I'd hate to rip all those cds again if something went wrong. :ouch:

it warns me the all my shit might be erased, and please speak if you are 100% sure cause i dont have my CDs anymore so it's life or death, can't risk it, thanks for the feed back

you phucked son.. my cousin had the same problem with a stolen ipod, he wanted the songs from taht but wanted to add to em... he used this shady program that was supposed to bakcup the files from the ipod so you can reset and re add em but it did no good...

my advise-suck it up.. start fresh

or carry a cd walkman around in a fanny pack ?
