The Mirror was pretty good... I think I still like Ja Rule... No lyrical mastermind, but his beat picking ability is top notch and he knows how to make a good track.

Im ashamed of it, but I like that song "race against time" by ja rule.

I feel disgusting, but its good to get off my chest.

I also kind of like that "murderers" song, but only cause its filthy.

i agree
droping out of school, worshipping black men, not finding a job cause your off flow, no rhythm, short winded rhymes over generic wutang imitation beats are gonna put food on your table, hanging out with jigsaw, filming jigsaw as he fuggishly shots an icicle with atleast 9 rounds and misses each time causing unnessacary alarm in an otherwise safe and clean community, going online and dedicated a myspace and 11,500 wucorp posts to proving how hard and raw conneticuts scentic woodlands can be,

yeah, hip hop killed that nigga.

but seriously....i wonder if proof would have been killed if he was'nt a rapper. its a tough question cos without hip-hop, you would have never heard of these people so their doomed by their own trade, lol

I get what ya mean doktah. hip-hop has it's praises and its criticism's.

on the whole though, i think hip-hop has done more good than bad. yeah people have died over it but we've gained far more from it.

It's helped cultures find a common interest which is always a good thing. Its the dickheads who say hip-hop is a black only music genre and that guns and other forms of aggressive violence are the basis of the musical content that annoy's me.

Ive never believed that. if you take 'walk this way' by run dmc and aerosmith -

o8A0rhVG91U

that was a influential song which helped bridge two completely different genres of music in one common goal....to make something which any decent music lover would appreciate regardless of race. Thats what wu-tang does as well.

I still think violence is an important part of hip-hop though as it still shows that the listeners have enough balls to stand up for themselves instead of being weak and feeble.Ive always seen wu-tang as a defensive rather than aggressive violence act. Their message was if you fucked with them then they'd fuck with you. thats completely different from just bragging about shooting people for no apparent reason.

One reason why wu-tang are so widespread is they give out more than one message. some people listen to them and only think about the violence that they exhibit. some only think about beats and melody, some look deep into their lyrics and find truth and understand (whether it's the right truth & understanding or not) and some listen to them just to look cool.

i could go into it more but I'm gonna go watch the original dawn of the dead with my lady so laters fam....:dududu:

being a rapper had nothing to do with him getting shot. people get shot without being rappers in detriot, if you didnt know. youre talking as if murders dont happen.

he probably would of died earlier, being a black male in a big city ghetto, if it wasnt for hip hop.

KERZO

im not saying he wouldnt have died but you'd never know. do you not think him being a famous rapper might have heralded his demise at the CCC Club?
