Now that the basketball video games are out, which one do you like? I'm referring to NBA 2K9, NBA Live 09, and NBA 09: The Inside(if you have Sony) ?

i was an NBA Live guy for years and years but, after a couple shitty releases (on the PS2) i opted for 2k8 last year and that shit was amazing...one of the best basketball games I ever played..

I haven't copped one this season yet but I would probably get 2k9

Does anybody here have NBA 2K9 for the PS3? If so, I have a few questions.

id go with 2k9...i need to cop that shit myself honestly. and stay away from the inside. they have gotten better but sony needs to do a bit more work. the really should go back to the nba shootout days when it was actually good

So.. which should I get.

2k10 or Live 10?

I've played the demos and 2k10 felt better defensively and Live felt better offensively and technically.

I've got 2k10 for PSP and it's good but I want the superior game for PS3.

I think NBA 2K10 is a better game overall. Though, I went with NBA Live 10 cause this year's NBA 2K just seemed too similiar to last year's, (and I just wanted something different after getting NBA 2K for years in a row). A bunch of the commentator's phrases/commentary in NBA 2K10 was exactly the same as last season. Plus I like hearing Marv Albert calling the game in NBA Live. lol Steve Kerr could have had more input though.

So all in all, I'd say NBA 2K is better, but NBA Live has caught up more this year than it has in the past. You can't go wrong with either one. It's a little late in the season to be getting the game though, the playoffs start soon. lol

Live is for the ballers.
2k is for the geeks.

2K also has better graphics than Live once again and it feels more realistic. Live really needs to start adding more camera views. 2K has like 300 different views, and Live has only a few views once again, and I only like one of them. lol

Don't play Live or 2K on a non flat screen tv either, cause some of the things look so small such as the player's name on Live during the game. It's a shame that they started making these game more for just flat screen tv's in the last few years, because before that the games looked just fine on a boob tube.

I'm finding some flaws while playing NBA live more. The AI(computer) steals the ball way too easily. I had to keep turning down the slider for the computer's steal and intercept levels.. and I have it turned like all the way down now, and it can still steal the ball almost by just looking at your player. lol Watch out for any type of little bump, cause the ball will most likely fly out of your player's hands.

Also, can't you play a season using less than 82 games? That's pretty stupid if you can't play a shorter season than that.

Cool, I'll probably cop 2k10.

I don't watch the games on tv so it doesn't matter to me if the season is almost over or if players have switched teams or whatever.
