I was just thinking about this shit on my walk back from classes. You know how everyone was complaining about Bush, now we got someone new. Another thing is do you think Hip-Hop will just change in general....Will Obama have any effect on hip-hop?

Didn't like most of the hip hop community make probama songs and shit during the campaign? I know I have that yes we can mixtape on my comp and that Ludacris song about Obama is probably my favorite of all the Obama related raps I heard.

LMAO

So when's Obama's rap album coming out?

He needs to DJ a mixtape of his best ofs. Imagine Obama screaming his name over Fight The Power, then getting all pimp like "DARK DAYS ARE OVER, MAKE IT RAIN NIGGA" as Lil Wayne comes in.

Man. 4x plat fo shore.

atleast now rappers can shut the fuck up and stop pretending like they know how politics work ... that joint "impeach the president" on alive on arrival is a perfect example of how rappers should stick to rapping about hennessy instead of politics ...

and yes immortal technique can officialy shut the fuck up now ... thank god for that

Exactly what I thought.

Rappers are talking about how black people are oppressed and abused, yet now a member of the African-American community is the head of the nation. Yes, hip hop will be affected by this a lot. A pretty large percentage of lyrics will lose credibility. IMO.

I think everyones going crazy over Obama. People think the world is suddenly going to be better just cos America has a black president. But you can't name one politician who isn't a total douchebag, why should this guy be any different.

You can't say dude was a good politician because he wasn't in power. I know what you're saying though; there are exceptions. But look at past american presidents. I gotta counteract the mindless optimism going on at the moment. America is in one of the worst states its ever been in economically and is fighting two wars. Obama has basically inherited a giant pain in the ass.

Edgar Erebus
11-07-2008, 09:25 AM
In power or not, dude had his own political party and therefore was a politician.

Obama has an unique opportunity of taking America out of this ugly corporativism where it is now and make a real capitalist economy by measures of people. He better not screw it up.
