Ricky Gervais had a joke about it in his new stand-up special, and the funny thing is, he's right.

So with that in mind, if you were to make a soundtrack for the Vietnam war, what songs would you include?

I will start

Sam and Dave- Hold On, I'm Comin'

my pops is a vietnam vet and i came up on alot of the songs from that era, even though i grew up in the 80's. great music IMO. my pops was and still is there in a way. vietnam shaped his life, he was an engineer, drove a dozer, alot of the time he was at the forefront in hostile territory, crashing through jungle, making paths for jeeps and tanks and trucks and troops, smoking mad drugs and shit and killing shit. swear. dangerous shit. he's a little guy too, so his superiors would usually use him as a tunnel rat whenever they came across tunnels. scary shit. he's the man though, but yeah war is hell and he is a testament to that. mad props to veterans of all wars.

^as soon as i seen the title... that is what i thought.

"my 'favourite' war... was the falklands.., cus our guns could fire 10,000 yards when they could only make it to 7,000... so we were shelling the shit out of them.... it was the war equivilent of holding a midget at arms length"

^somethin like that lol... love the dude!
