They are nice, but build on it.

Paste a quote and break it down.

"The way that can be said is not the Way.", Lao Tzu.

I take that as trying to convey that if we try and pin down and explain THE truth, it won't be the truth. This is because it is most likely that the truth has too many facets and it would be impossible to unravel and understand each facet in our life time.

^True? Vaguely True? False?

True by my interpretation as well. Also, the world is so large and complicated that only it itself provides a completely accurate description.

I like this similar quote too: "Some people have a strange way of putting themselves in compartments and groups. They build up barriers of religion, of caste, of color, of party, of nation, of province, of language, of custom and of wealth and poverty. Thus they live in prisons of their own making.", Nehru.

When we describe/interpret the world from a particular frame of reference we necessarily omit valid interpretations from other viewpoints.

P.E.A.C.E and Blessings...

I like to see that quote as also regarding the difference between being informed of the way and walking (experiential knowledge) the way. The way can not be contained in words (hence it can not be said). Words and symbols are only a representation of reality, they can never contain the fulness of reality. The way can not be said it must be walked.

peace Falcon,

that is very true.

Words cannot encompass the full meaning of things as words are limitations to the flexibilities of certain concepts that "words" try to pin down.

The Way is such a vast and complex things, words are not always enough or give justice to the Way.

Indeed! What is the quote from "The Matrix"? "One can walk the Way without knowing the Way."

I see that Face of the Golden Falcon and Prince Rai are interested in Egypt. Have you seen the Egyptian metaphysical picture, number 7 on this link: http://waysofseeing.net/c-images.html
