Stigmata are bodily marks, sores, or sensations of pain in locations corresponding to the crucifixion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crucifixion) wounds of Jesus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesus). The term originates from the line at the end of Saint Paul (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_of_Tarsus)'s Letter to the Galatians (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Letter_to_the_Galatians) where he says, "I bear on my body the marks of Jesus," stigmata is the plural of the Greek word stigma meaning a mark or brand such as might have been used for identification of an animal or slave. An individual bearing stigmata is referred to as a stigmatic.
The causes of stigmata may vary from case to case. Stigmata are primarily associated with the Roman Catholic (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roman_Catholic) faith. Many reported stigmatics are members of Catholic religious orders. The majority of reported stigmatics are female.

I Read That Padre Pio Was The Originator Of The Finger Less Gloves, And At The Time Of His Burial His Stigmas Were Gon With Out A Trace As If He Never Had Them, But Had Them For Most Of His Adult Life!..

the stigamata's being gone shit is fuckin wierd. Idk much about them, but i don't think they hold a religious significance cause you can look before jesus was crucified and i bet you'll see ppl with the same thing.

plus its people seeing something and associating it with something they're familiar with and since that thing is a religious figure they're gonna think it's mystical and magical and shit

cause was is false or untrue about it?
"i have markers in the same places jesus was scared on crucifixion"- true
does it mean anything- if you want it to

so there's really nothing you can prove and disprove

also the ppl have the crown of thrones marks, and the whip lash marks or did they just see the hand and feet one and think 'jesus'? i find that in things like this ppl tend to be selective in what gets to be a clue or not.

yea its a big thing among the mystic Christians. my elders used to build with me about this telling me about father pio experiences. they say he was fighting heavy demons or satan himself. only the deeply religious and devoted can be 'blessed' with the stigmata as it mirrors the dreadful experiences of Krist. watch that movie "stigmata" too its got some real useful information. They say there is a lot of physical evidence but to me at the end of the day it's about faith/doctrine but anything is possible the physical and spiritual realms can interact.

the irony is that roman crucifixions involved nails being driven through the wrists of the condemned, not the palms of their hands.

can u please elaborate on this.....

can u please elaborate on this..... The physical can interact with other existing ‘realms, dimensions’ in its universal substrata. This can be seen through studying ancient ancestral communication rituals, meditation, visions/enhanced mental states. The human brain produces different electric waves (beta, alpha, theta, delta) which take our consciousness to another ‘level’ creating a host of other feelings, sensations and mental occurrences that we don’t experience in the other wave. We have the ‘awake state, asleep state and the mediumistic state and the transcendental state of consciousness’ which correspond with brain wave production. Im talking about the interaction of those I wasn’t really referring to the stigmata stuff just saying things have effects on physicality.

peace, yeah there is one book that kinda sums it all up - metu neter written by ra un nefer amen. he builds on all that gets real deep into it the real deal kemetic science. there is other books like 'opening to spirit' by caroline arewa she kinda builds off of the metu neter ideology anyway. in terms of brain waves you can check any scientific book dealing with the subject. pz

yes2rday was Holy Thursday. I visited Greenbelt church a while ago and I was not aware that the whole mall was closed. So I went home after the mass and passed by some prayer station in our street. People are very busy saying their novena or prayers and some are singing. http://bp0.blogger.com/_YpliX4V4I60/R-JVfxidzCI/AAAAAAAAA3g/KsN0hCIiO7c/s320/stigmata_3_lg.jpg (http://bp0.blogger.com/_YpliX4V4I60/R-JVfxidzCI/AAAAAAAAA3g/KsN0hCIiO7c/s1600-h/stigmata_3_lg.jpg)I remember when I was in Davao, during Holy week I always watch shows in television that features stories about Stigmata. I do not know but I find it so interesting even there was no recorded evidence that it is true. Only people who had “experience” having crucifixion wounds of Jesus relay their stories to us.http://bp1.blogger.com/_YpliX4V4I60/R-JVDBidzAI/AAAAAAAAA3Q/gWCAfCig6_4/s320/stigmata1.jpg (http://bp1.blogger.com/_YpliX4V4I60/R-JVDBidzAI/AAAAAAAAA3Q/gWCAfCig6_4/s1600-h/stigmata1.jpg) What are STIGMATA, really? According to Wikipedia, Stigmata (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stigmata) are bodily marks, sores, or sensations of pain in locations corresponding to the crucifixion wounds of Jesus. The term originates from the line at the end of Saint Paul's Letter to the Galatians where he says, "I bear on my body the marks of Jesus," stigmata is the plural of the Greek word stigma meaning a mark or brand such as might have been used for identification of an animal or slave. An individual bearing stigmata is referred to as a stigmatic. Some stigmatics feel the pain of wounds with no external marks; these are referred to as invisible stigmata. In other cases, stigmata are accompanied by extreme pain. Some stigmatics' wounds do not appear to clot, and stay fresh and uninfected; the blood from the wounds is said, in some cases, to have a pleasant, perfumed odor.http://bp3.blogger.com/_YpliX4V4I60/R-JVLhidzBI/AAAAAAAAA3Y/ZADF5VXOc4w/s320/stigmata_2_lg.jpg (http://bp3.blogger.com/_YpliX4V4I60/R-JVLhidzBI/AAAAAAAAA3Y/ZADF5VXOc4w/s1600-h/stigmata_2_lg.jpg) Similarly self-inflicted wounds can be associated with certain mental illnesses. Some people who fake stigmata suffer from Munchausen syndrome (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Munchausen_syndrome) which is characterized by an intense desire for attention. People with Munchausen hurt themselves or fake an illness hoping to end up in a hospital where they can be given attention and care. Miraculous or prank, medically explainable may be, stigma is part of the Roman Catholic faith. After St. Francis of Assisi’s stigmata was accepted by the Church authorities as authenticated, there are many who reported incident of having these wounds. Until now, there are many who are skeptics because as mentioned, there were no documented cases of the actual occurrence of sustaining Stigmata but only reported cases and evidences of the wounds after it was incurred.
