I was gonna do them 2 days apart, but, the last one seems a bit lopsided. Both these albums deserve to be in the best 32 IMO, though not as classic as the previous 4 albums.

know the dealio.

I don't get it, what was cuban Linx vs the Chronic a 1 vs 16 matchup? and this is 8 vs 9? Or did you do what I think you did, and haphazardly matched them up against each other with no real thought process behind it?

^Lol I like how he is matching them up, I think its been good match ups so far, mroe interesting than normal match ups :)

Madvillainy used the most imaginative sample EVER seen in hip hop. If anyone has the chance to download the sample set for Madvillainy, that shit is INSANE. You would never think you could make hip hop records out of it. But they did. This was a dream for alot of fans, for DOOM and Madlib to produce tracks together. You can pick out things in each track where each one has clearly had influence on doing.

I dont remember seeing 2 producers work together on songs aswell as this, they melded their styles perfectly. I prefer the Demo version of Madvillainy (if you can find it, DL that too), but both are cold.

As for 3030, I think the Automaters best work was on Dr Octagon.

No clue what you mean? All 3 so far have been purposely matched up. Fuck another Illmatic vs Cuban Linx thread or shit like that, it'll get there eventually.

These are two pretty groundbreaking albums production-wise.

I can't make a judgement call since I haven't really listened to 3030 long enough to make any sort of comparison.

Madvillainy is in my Top 10.. top notch beats and rhymes. Madvillainy "2" is also pretty good.. took me a few listens to appreciate fully.
