View Full Version : Rolling Stone calls Carter III Hip Hop Album of the DECADE???

I though it was a good album, but going too far.

"Next time you mention Pac, Biggie or Jay-Z/Don't forget Weezy Baby," croaks Lil Wayne, and he earns that audacious boast. The most eagerly anticipated hip-hop album of the decade is also the best, from the joyously silly Auto-Tune-on-steroids chart-topper, "Lollipop," to the uproarious "Dr. Carter," in which Wayne dons scrubs to revive moribund hip-hop. The dadaist punch lines hit their marks, but Lil Wayne's greatness lies not just in what he says, but in the way he says it the virtuoso variations in mood and meter, tone and timbre that mark the MC, as much as any singer, as one of 21st-century pop's great vocal stylists.

rollingstone is a piece of shit magazine anyways, most people i know don't even know that shit exists. they should stick to sucking on rock band's dick cuz anything they say about hip hop is always irrelevant.

If this is the album of the decade it speaks loudly to the state of Hip Hop, the fact D-BLACK is boasting about the ramblings of what a rock magazine thinks of a hip hop album speaks loudly to the state of his feeble mind.

Stillmatic
Blueprint
Get rich or die tryin
The Documentary
Be
The college dropout
Undaground Kingz
Fishscale
The Eminem show

The list goes on and on. What kind of rolled stones is this magazine pushin!?

I never understood Rolling Stone and their "rating system". They refuse to give a classic hip-hop album anything more than a 4/5, than they give perfect ratings to ok shit
