They say 'ohm' in meditation, but ohms also has something to do with electronics. Is there a relationship?

Peace,

Indeed voice and sound have properties which affect our physical state. One example is in martial arts where the person uses sound to attack with more effect. Sound seems to propel physical actions like a catalyst.

The OHM sound used properly with correct breathing and meditation may propel healing both physically and mentally.

Good topic and look forward to see the debate

In fact allow me to add this:

A mantra is a specific sound or vibration, which when repeated silently, helps you to enter deeper levels of awareness. A Sanskrit term that translates as "vehicle of the mind", a mantra truly is a vehicle that takes you into quieter, more peaceful levels of the mind.

The mantra corresponding to you is the vibration the universe was creating at the time and place of your birth, and it is calculated following Vedic mathematic formulas. When you silently repeat your mantra in meditation, it creates a vibration that helps you slip into the space between your thoughts, into the complete silence that is sometimes referred to as "the gap". Your mind is no longer caught up in its noisy internal chatter and is instead exposed to its own deepest nature: pure awareness.

Is the meditation more powerful if performed with other people or alone?
Like, does the power of the "ohm" can be stronger if more than one people say it?

Good questions. The answer to the first may be subjective to each person. Sharing a common interest may enhance your ability to relax and concentrate more than if you were alone, like going to the gym with buddies.

As for several people chanting the same word, there too may be some benefit.
I see this when we study Sufi mysticism where people in groups would sing/chant words of religious value and thereby create a strong aura which is used to benefit one's connection to God.

Yes, another question is, does the mantra, "ohm", has a specific meaning?
It can be spelled different ways, since only the sound is important ,it can be spelled "ohm", "aum, "om"...
It is said to be the word used by the gods in some religions, because every word would only be another version of "ohm".
It could also be the sound of creation.
I also found this :
"The three "mantras" of A, U, M also represent the outer, the inner and the superconscient states of consciousness and the waking, dream and deep sleep states respectively. And beyond these is the modeless fourth state (a-matra), which is the Self, according to Advaiata. Another way of saying this is that Om is immortal and inexhaustible. It is the symbolic expression of the creative spirit, the Word (with reference to the three component sounds), the three human conditions (waking, dreaming, and deep sleep), the three times of day (morning, midday, evening), and the three faculties (action, cognition, volition). "
Maybe that explains why that particular sound would have healing abilities.

the dravidian goddess Tara's mantra was "aum"
and the Kemetic supreme god Ausar conceals the mantra "aum"
