Thought id randomly search Whodini on youtube.
Came across this track

Whodini - Friends

instantly recognized the hook (MF Doom - Deep Fried Friendz) however he spells his stuff lol http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=HH_rnOfmHMQ

then im listenin to the beat and wondering where the fuck i heard it, Nas, but cant remember which track?

I really like MF Dooms Deep Friendz track but didnt kno he'd sampled this track nor did i kno Nas sampled it.

Soooo.....post up old skool tracks that were sampled and post up the track which samples it. spread knowledge!

Jay Z did with Slick Rick on Rulers Back (Rulers Back) and with KRS One sound of the police on Takeover.

ghostface got his "ghostface" chorus from Kurtis Blow:

ghost also got Eric B and Rakim's Know The ledge beat for ghost is back.

madvillain used schooly d's P.s.k for operation lifesaver

DOOm also used JJ Fad's supersonic on Hoe Cakes:

and also that song "got a rock, rocket in my pocket" sped up

Lil wayne sampled paid in full for D'boy

damn near everything from the 80's has been sampled or re-done......not counting vocal snippets for scratches though, we'd be here all day

Nas - If I Ruled The World___samples, Whodini "Friends" & Kurtis Blow "If I Ruled The World"

The Firm - sampled Whodini's "5 Minutes Of Funk"

Ice Cube - Check YoSelf (remix) uses__The Message - Flash & The Furious 5

Rampage & Puff Daddy both used - Public Enemy #01

Ghostface used Big Daddy Kanes "RAW"

Redman used BDP's "I'm Still #01" - twice

Biggie did Schoolly D's "PSK What Does It Mean" for the interlude on Life After Death

Mos Def & Talib Kwali used the break from BDP's "The P Is Free"

Snoop covered loads of songs from the 80's

Jermaine Dupri re-did alot of things from the 80's
