they're trying to put Karl Rove and his female counterpart that i cant remember her name but is on the tip of my tongue on trial for all the bush bullshit.

wire taps, politicizing the judicary, and what not.

He is refusing to serve his supena(sp? right now) cause he says bush gave him immunity. They're saying such a thing doesn't exist and he will be likely thrown in jail until he serves it.

idk why the illuminati is hatin on its self but shits getting real.

They're also still gonna see if they should punish the bush admin for all the illegal shit over a committee.

-------------------------

Obama's bailout bill passed. We will be recieving money in the mail soon and a shitload more will be used to fix the power grid, upgrade roads, build windmills and shit of that nature, fix farms, and fix schools that suck.

all the republicans voted no on it 100% but there isn't enough of them to stop the dem majority. Ppl are saying if this bailout is successful it will be the virtual end of the republican parties chance of redeeming popularity for the 100% no vote.

all the public works will ease up the job market tremendously and increase gov spending will help the economy. The stock market has been seeing steady raises to due confidence over the bill even before it pasted knowing it's inevitable.

If your living in the world today, you can hear by the slang that the wutang say.

As is its not going to pass the senate.

Democratic Senators unlike house members have common sense and the sought after value of dealing with reality.

If the thing passes, we will have a full blown depression in 2 or so years due to the mixture of the next banking crisis which is a few years down the line due to several other types of illegitimate housing loans that will hit the fan in a while because they are set to raise after a period of time. This coupled with a 20%+ inflation caused by the bail outs, "stimulation," and general democratic policy of "Print mo money, gots to have us some money."

So fuck that. I'd rather see no government intervention and a speedy resolution.

After all, FDR only prolonged the depression. It would have healed itself if not for his NEW DEAl. Only world war two really stopped it.

Regardless long live conservatism and Libertarianism FUCK THE DEMS!!!!11

Ok, so your suggesting that its possible that 9-11 is the day it was because that's the day of Jesus' birth (look it up, the day is in fact known based on a reference to a Jewish holiday falling 40 days afterward which therefore singles out its date as the 11th (give or take a day or two) of September.) It was also the rough plan day for Hitlers eventual nuking of NYC assuming the Nazis had successfully pulled off the Nuclear Bomb.

September 11 is the 254th day of the year (255th in leap years) in the Gregorian calendar. There are 111 days remaining until the end of the year. It is usually the first day of the Coptic calendar and Ethiopian calendar (in the period AD 1900 to AD 2099).

These "Illuminati" theories really piss me off, no offense. I'm not calling you stupid, because you may be right, the Illuminati were real at one point, that I am certain of, but I think that was more of a enlightenment (thus Illuminati) era conclave of doom rather than a current threat that is behind everything. However it may be that, but I think people are looking in the wrong places as far as the Illuminati are concerned.

Ok, TSA

Wouldn't theoretically you become more in dept by spending money in the long run whether or not it creates the illusion of recuperation. The government is just printing off money, and that's damaging to a currency that is based on peoples trust that it will be accepted. Regardless this causes inflation, which on its own is not good but not terrible as long as its moderated. Its not quite like Germany's experiment in this that effectively made a deutchmark worth less then the paper they made it from.

However in order to remove inflation you need a deflation, which is bad for the economy as it causes changes in wages without necessarily effecting expenses and that can trigger an aftershock depression.

So thats bad.

The current stimulus package is not a stimulus package. Its a total makeover of a bazillion government programs and such intended to pass under the guise of fixing the economy. The thing is so bloated with pork barrel spending that it won't pass in the senate as is. And the democrats should naturally be able to do so with a sizable lead in people. There are positive effects in there, but they won't kick in immediately like people are suggesting.

Thirdly, there is another housing bubble set to pop in a few years that we know about unless it is fixed now. Many people bought homes with a few years at a low rate that would click up to a higher rate on the basis that they imagined they would be rising in the ranks as time goes by and getting bonuses etc. in their careers and therefore able to afford it.

However thanks to this crash these people are losing their jobs or at least not getting the money they foresaw making which means they're going to end up having to foreclose.

So maybe im not done with high school yet, but I can get a feel for the basics of whats going on. I'm not saying I know how to fix the problems, I just know that the current course is not the right one.

The bottom line is that we need to raise taxes because the United States is in debt. However, the current financial crisis does require immediate attention.

A stimulus package is by no means a perfect solution, and it shouldn't be passed, as is. It needs to be carefully regulated, but it might be necessary.

THERE IS NO PERFECT SOLUTION.

BUt the deregulation and conservatism helped get us into this mess.

Boarz, it is easy to criticize and point out the problems with proposals, but the thing is, there is never going to be a perfect, magic bullet solution, and "doing nothing" isn't going to work, at this point, either.

TheBoarzHeadBoy

But we don't know that.

Pumping in money will only prolong the suffering before we hit bottom...

Regardless the economy is going to be in tatters until the end of the decade at the shortest and probably half of the next one.

Obama's administration isn't going to be able to resolve it.

Its not that I don't want him to succeed since he's one of a handful of democrats I feel trust in (about the same as conservatives to be honest.) And him failing is only going to hurt my chances of being able to afford college and get a job. I really want him to fix it (not him, the government as a whole, using the president as a rep of the whole thing is silly) because its not like its not going to hurt me too.

We don't "know" anything.

Also, this isn't the "tragedy" or "crisis" that leaders on both sides would have you believe.

Now, the economy and unemployment are clearly problems, but they have both been worse, as recently as the late 70s and late 80s, respectively.

As for the stock market, it is completely cyclical, and nobody has "lost" anything, unless they unwisely chose to sell during a recession. Now is actually an excellent time to buy stock. It will come back up.

Regardless, I don't believe in stimulus packages either, but it is possible that it could help, but from a political standpoint, it is almost necessary. But these bailouts ARE necessary, although they are being orchestrated poorly.

The bottom line is that hopefully people will appreciate the stimulus, STIMULATE the economy, and then Obama will HAVE to raise taxes. We keep pushing a huge national debt on to future generations.

I do not know about the jesus birth part, but 9-29 (the day of the dow drop) was another 9-11 (2+9=11). 9-29 is 9-11.

And yes these people who plan this and other events like to leave numerical signs in the attacks.

The probability for numbers like 3-11 (madrid attack 911 days after 9-11), 9-11 (sept 11, 2001), 777 (July 7, 2005), 777 dow drop (sept. 29, 2008), and other numbers to come up consistantly is very low, but they were used cuz it was planned!

1990 George Bush Sr. first announced the NWO. 11 years later 9-11 happened. 2012 will be 11 years after 9-11. The planners love the number 11 so do the math...

Secondly, our economy has been and always will be cyclical. The prosperity achieved after World War II will probably never happen again tho. IN terms of that level of most everyone being able to cheaply achieved the AMerican dream.

I think alot of problem is greed. Just flat out greed.

Thats basically what outsourcing is about, the refusal to pay Americans a fair wage and instead going overseas and paying the equivelant of slave wages.
People at the top are making too much right now and the people at the bottom too little.

The Middle class needs to be rebuilt, how they are going to go about that, I do not know.
But if we are going to be these staunch capitalists, we have to realize that greed is good to capitalist.

I'm not saying down with capitalism, but im just saying, thats the way it pretty much works.
And now the guys at the top arent even offering jobs in this country anymore. That is what is really killing us.

very right. i also think america lost its dick somewhere after WWII economically.

sure we were kicking ass, but we seem to (as well as the west in general) have no interest in new ideas of how the market is run.

Japan noticed it would get crushed in consumer products making by the US and conciously geared it's economy towards technology to develop a niche, and cause of that specialization they're the top in it.

Dubai geared its economy toward tourism and boom

we're still trying to do stuff we have no competitive advantage in.
I believe cause the US is large pop wise and size wise that we should focus of small, small, small ass businesses as opposed to industry.

Larger countries trade less with the rest of the world in % of shit and what not. We buy less and sell less, but our advantage is the size of our market.

If the gov started encouraging ppl to open small business and have them, as much as possible, edge out the larger ones to a healthy degree then we won't get out ass kicked by places with advantages in production we've lost like china SE asia and india but we'll maintain a capital and middle class dependant on their own holdings as opposed to the holdings of firms that have no logical reason to be in this country

idk if it makes sense, but gov needs to dramatically drop interest rates and provide grants loans and safetynets for small business, its the future in countries with a comparative advantage in size of market.

small business and financial firms, the world is about specialization. Japan has tech, dubai has tourism.

I hear you in you last post TSA, that makes sense. I agree, America should be a lot of small businesses that can compete with each other or do things their own way. Big companies are bad for business, sure they get a higher profit margin by dominating the industry, but that's not healthy for the whole country. If a small bank fails its nbd, but if a big one goes its ww3.
