Got two of these and decent mixer... I play some new hip/hop and DnB on it but i have a solid collection of old and rare vinyl and i regularly play 'Pink Floyds Original Saucerful Of Secrets (1968 pressing)' vinyl....it's got such a unique sound and the crackling adds to the whole experience IMO

the technics are m3ds instead of mk2s. i think the only real difference is that the m3ds have a reset button for the pitch adj. slider. the only reason i got them is that they were on sale and thus the same price as the mk2. i wouldn't pay more for the button, it's not that cool. the vestax 07's crossfader is crazy loose, which i love, but i notice that i cut different on a rane. i might need one of those...

some cool records:

-the beatles - white album (original uk mono)
-the beatles - sgt. pepper (original uk mono)
-pink floyd - piper at the gates of dawn (original uk mono)
-bad brains - rock for light (pvc version w/full press kit)
-melvin bliss - synthetic substitution promo 45
-banbarra - shack up 45 w/ picture sleeve
-public enemy - fear of a black planet (orig. triple vinyl version)
-big - party & bullshit (lord finesse remix) w/ picture sleeve
-bambaataa - planet rock (original orange label)
-wu-tang clan - protect ya neck/after the laughter 12"
-illstyle live (elektra showcase with crazy odb set)
-odb - dirty & stinkin' (original version) 12"
-wu-tang clan - 1994 uk freestyle session
-gza - words from a genius (prince rakeem remix) 12"
-prince rakeem - ooh we love rakeem 12" w/full tommy boy press kit

yeah I only have a couple of hip-hop albums as well. All my shit is classic rock and funk.

I used to have a lot of old school punk rock but I sold it a long time ago. The me now would have fucked up the me then for some shit like that. I was record shopping the other day and seen all these punk records I had and wanted again ..... it was sad. I almost bought the first minor threat album for the 3rd time but stopped myself.

I feel bad for DJ's that have to buy doubles all the time. thats gotta suck and be expensive.

have had my Technics QX-300 for years and it does me right.....use it primarily for sampling and whatnot.....and it's gotten tons of work......I would bet that I've placed over 10,000 pieces of wax on it lifetime.....
